Life #2: Big Changes

 Life #2: Big Changes

Book #2 in Life

Chapter One
I fell into the bayou as Mason pushed past me.  I only saw Cody’s shocked face as I fell in. When I fell in I felt a tug. It was pitch black. I couldn’t see but I could still feel the tugging on my foot. Suddenly I saw something jump in front of me. Suddenly I came above coughing. Cody was yelling, “MASON! GET HER!” I felt Mason’s hands grab mine and hoist me onto the deck. I turned around Cody was splashing around. “HE-“ But then he disasspeared under the water. There was kicking underneath. “Go get help!” Somebody yelled. Blood started to cover the surface. “Allie! You’re bleeding!” said Sara. “I don’t care! Just go get help!” I screamed. “I’ll go get the first aid kit!” said Anne. And then she ran off. I turned and saw blood covering the surface of the water. I saw Cody come up sputtering for breath. “Cody!” screamed Anna. Mason’s dad showed up with a robe. He threw it in the water. There was a tight tug. Cody came above. Mason and his dad started pulling him up. Cody was bleeding badly. “Get him to the hospital!” hollered Mason. “Call 911!” somebody else called. I grabbed my phone and dialed 911. “911 emergencies.” Said the woman on the other line. “Hello! My name is Allie Johnson. I’m one west Avenue at a dock. My friend Cody has just been attacked by a alligator.” I said. “We will call  the truck ma’m.” said the woman. And the line went dead. Anne came back and wrapped my foot up. Cody was laying down on the dock. He was dripping wet and his skin was torn off his knee showing his veins and meat. He look pale and white, and he seemed to drop in and out of consciousness. “Cody!” I said, limping over. I dropped beside him. He sputtered and then started heaving for breath. Mason’s dad punched his chest not too hard or too soft. And then Cody went back into normal breathing. “Help…” he whispered. Suddenly there was a siren. Somebody ran out the gate waving their arms. I heard that person say, “HEY!!! OVER HERE!!” Suddenly two men ran in with a bed. There bent down beside Cody. “Let me see the bandage!” the man said, snatching the bandage from Anna. He wrapped it around Cody’s leg. “Breathing mask!” hollered one of the men. And the other set off to the car. “Will he be alright?” I asked. “I can’t tell. How long has he been losing blood?” asked the man. “Um… about five minutes.” Said Mason. “He’s lost tons of blood then…” said the man. The other man came in and placed the breathing mask on Cody. “Have you all informed his parents?” asked the man, placing the buckles around Cody. “Um… no…” said Anne. “Are you mad? Then inform them!” said the man. I dialed Cody’s mom’s number. I got voicemail. “Hello Mrs. Grace… um Cody’s been attacked by an alligator! Please hurry up! By the way this is Allie…” and then I hung up. The men started to run carrying Cody on the bed. Then they placed him in the ambulance. And rode off. “Come on!” I said to my friends. We jumped on our bikes. (I rode on Anthony’s). And then we began riding after the ambulance. When we got to the hospital we followed the men into the hospital. “Cody!” we called. But Cody had his eyes closed. “He’s still breathing.” Said the men. They brought him into the emergency room. “I’m sorry, ya’ll will have to stay in here…” said the nurse. “No! We have to stay with Cody!” Said Anne. “CODY!” we screamed. But the doors were shut and Cody couldn’t hear us. “Come back later…” said the nurse. Then she whooshed us out of the hospital. We rode home. I got back to my house.

When I walked in my mom rushed up. “Oh Allie! Mason’s dad told me everything! Are you alright? Are all of you alright?” asked my mom. “We’re fine Mrs. Johnson.” Said Anthon. “Um, that Ms. Johnson.” Said mom. I gulped. “Ms. Johnson?” asked my friends. “I divorced with Mr. Johnson…” said my mom. “But that doesn’t matter… Oh I called Grace… she freaked out and drove up to the hospital. She must be scared out of her wits. I know I would. Jane overheard me and then she carried it on to the twins. I called Peter and he told Melissa. He’s probably told your father Allie.” She said. “Crystal and Sam started howling and barking at the sound of the siren… Darla, Milky, and Marie raced under your bed Allie. I believe they are still there. It was all over the news… however I have no clue how that got it on the news. I mean one of you must have seen the cameras!” said mom. “Oh… I was so scared. I was parched too. I felt like passing out. I drank some water… and… Oh Allie you don’t remember him… but my x-boyfriend… Mr. Mack came up and talked to me. Oh I told him everything and then he said he was wondering why your father was living in a house down the street. Oh and Allie your father bought the house from his parents if you can believe it! It was petriffing really… knowing your father came down and saw Mack. I really thought he was going to fry up Mack. But oh no they shook hands mighty good. We all had coffee which I know is odd seeing that we divorced over two weeks ago. But we all told the facts we knew. Mack saw it on the television. Oh and Allie he must have remembered how you looked because he said when he saw you on the television he knew something was wrong. However I don’t know how Mack got our address, however I do remember giving him a letter. But I’m really sure I didn’t tell him our address…” said Mom. “Mom! You’re talking to much! We’re fine!” I said. “Oh no you’re not!” said Jane, skipping over. “The alligator got you too. See; your ankle is wrapped up and bleeding.” Said Jane. “I… I got a cut.” I lied. “No you didn’t. I snuck over into Mary Andrew’s yard which is right next to Mason’s house and looked over the fence. I saw you being hauled out of the bayou.” Said Jane. I felt anger on Jane because Mom started freaking out. “OH MY GOD! Allie Maria Johnson you didn’t tell me! Oh I need to wrap this up better. Whoever wrapped this probably has no clue how to doctor!” said my mom. We looked over at Anna who was looking very upset. My mom sprayed stuff on my ankle which stung like wasps and then wrapped it up with a clean bandage. “Now… what do you all want for dinner? Hamburgers? French Fries?” asked my mom. “We already ate.” I said sharply. And then my friends and I headed upstairs. We sat down to watch the news. “Now  today in Minnesota, 14 year old Cody was attacked by an alligator at a random party. Here is some real footage of the attack today.”  The footage showed me. “Cody!” it made me say. I threw myself down to Cody. And then something that really didn’t happen came. It made it look like I kissed Cody. “Ms. Allie Johnson has first love with this injured boy!” said the lady. Then it showed Anna. “Allie!” she said. And then it showed Anna bending down and starting to wrap my foot. Then it looked over at Mason. He had his arm around Sara. This made Sara edge up on my couch. “What?!” she said. It made Sara and Mason look at each other and kiss. “I didn’t think they would record that!” said Sara. “Ya’ll kissed?” said Drake. “Yea… but… I thought they were focusing on the attack!” said Sara. “Another true love’s first kiss? I never knew true love happened around alligator attacks!” said the woman. “They’re going off course!” said Anna. “Now, we have Ron in Niagara Falls with breaking news. It’s all you Ron!” said the woman. Ron, a black haired boy appeared. “Hey that’s my brother!” said Anthon, leaning forward. “Thanks Rachel!” said Ron. “I’m right now 500 feet over Niagara Falls where a woman is has just been pushed off Niagara Falls’ waterfalls! Everybody is doing everything they can to help this woman. But hopefully that woman has a long breath because they are having trouble getting her from out underneath that waterfall!” said Ron. “Back to you Rachel!” said Ron. “Thank you very much Ron!” said Rachel. “Now everybody knows perfect singing national star; Justin Bieber.” Said Rachel. “Yea, the singing llama.” Muttered Anthon. Anne and Anna squeaked and leaned forward as Justin Bieber’s photo appeared on the screen. “Well today this sixteen year old superstar was arrested in Minnesota!”  said Rachel. “He was here?!” screamed the girls in excitement. “He was arrested!” said Sara, looking at them. “Hope they give his the life sectenrary!” said Drake. “Oh shut up Drake! He’s gorgeous!” said Anna. “Yea, you’re not in the right mind!” said Anne. “Justin was in the middle of a concert when he reached out his hand to slap everybody’s hands. Well one of his biggest fans; Melody Porter, snatched Justin’s hand and tried to pull him in. Justin yanked the girl off of him, pushed her down, and attacked her. It took two body guards to get Justin off poor Melody. Melody was found injured and unconscious. Justin was sent to court and we here’s live footage from Ben.” Said Rachel. “Hey Ben! What can you see from there?” asked Rachel. “Hey Rachel!” said a brown haired Ben. “Well right now Justin Bieber is truthfully in court. The judges are trying to decide if Justin is free of all charges, or should be arrested.” Said Ben. “ARRESTED!” screamed Anthon and Drake. “FREE OF ALL CHARGES!” screamed Anna and Anne. I still was watching the television. “Let’s see what I can get.” said Ben. It turned the camera to where Justin was standing. The judge was looking down at Justin. “Justin… we have thought about your charge…” said the court man. “You are being placed under arrest.” Said the charge. “NO!” screamed Anne and Anna. “YES!” screamed the boys, giving each other high fives. “That girl was attacking me!” screamed Justin. “You knocked my daughter Melody unconscious! That’s no reason to knock her out! She loves you and you always say you love your fans! What kind of a sick man punches out an eight year old girl!?” screamed the mother. “The girl was eight?” I said. “Cool…” said Anthon. “She nearly murdered me by pulling me into a crowd of 200,000 fans!” screamed Justin. The judge started panging his hammer. “Order! Order!” he yelled. “Justin Bieber you are being put under arrest for seven months.” Said the court judge. “Take him away!” said the court judge. Two cops came out. “Let me go!” screamed Justin. “I’m free of all charges!” he screamed. “And that’s all I can give you Rachel.” Said Ben. “Thank you Ben.” Said Rachel. “Join us next week for more news! Or log on to our website listed at the bottom! Have a wonderful Friday!” said the woman. Anthon laid back. “Ah yea… no more Bieber for seven months.” He said. Anne and Anna were sobbing their eyes out. We turned on the radio. We took showers one by one and got dressed in the bathroom. Then we all climbed into our beds and sleeping bags.
“Wake up! We’re going to Waffle House!” called Jane. We all opened our eyes. I looked towards my window and saw it was bright and sunny. But that didn’t change the temapture. I looked at all my friends who were moaning. “Oh come on…” moaned Sara. “Hey! After breakfast, we can drive over to Waffle House to see Cody!” I said, throwing off my covers. “Let’s do it for Cody.” Said Anthon, sitting up and stretching. Drake helped him up. Anne, Anna, and Sara stood up. We all turned around and got dressed. When I finished I was in a white t-shirt that said ‘Mayday Parade’ (A band I love), some jeggings (blue jeans that are like tights) and my grey Aero Postal jacket. I slipped on my black sneakers and brushed my hair. I checked my phone; 9:33. “Ready.” Called my friends. We turned around. Anne and Anna were wearing similar clothing as usual; a blue shirt with a peace sign, blue jeans, and a blue North face jacket. They both wore brown shoes. Drake wore a blue jacket that said, ‘Scary Movie’ on it, blue jeans, a black Aero Postal jacket, and Guy Harvy shoes. Sara wore a blue dress with white tights and some beautiful white shoes. She also wore a white sweater. Anthon wore the same thing as Drake. We were all ready. We all headed downstairs. My mom was at the table on her laptop. She was also talking with somebody on the phone. “Yes I know! I was almost dying!” said my mom. “Mom?” I asked. “I’ll have to call you back Sina. The kids have discovered me.” Said my mom. “Yes?” she asked. “Can we go now?” I asked. “Yes, sure.” Said my mom. We marched into the car and my mom started the car.

Chapter Two
“There’s Evans!” said Drake, pointing out one of the girls from school. Jane rolled down the window as my mom pulled to as stop. “Hi Frances!” called Jane. One of Jane’s little friends was in her driveway on her scooter. Frances ran to the door of her house. “Mommy, I’m going!” shouted Frances. Then she closed the door and ran to the house. “Babby!” said Claire, pointing at my dad jogging down the road. “Hi Mr. Johnson!” called Frances. Dad turned and waved and kept jogging. “Why isn’t your dad going with us?” asked Frances, climbing into the car. “My mom and dad divorced.” Said Jane with a sigh. “Mom did you let Sam and Crystal out?” I asked. “No! Dang, Crystal and Sam have probably already have pooped and peed!” said my mom. But for some reason, my mom didn’t turn around. She kept driving. When we arrived at Waffle House we went straight in and ate some food. “Look!” shouted Frances. Jane and Frances looked at a boy coming up to the restaurant. They squealed with pleasure. “How do I look?” asked Jane. “Perfect! Troy will just love you!” said Frances. So that was how I recognized him! Jane had snuck onto my computer last month to talk with her secret boyfriend Troy. “Mom…” I nudged her. “Hold on Allie! I’m trying to see if Mack will pick up!” said my mom. I looked back at Jane and Frances. Frances were fixing Jane’s hair. And when Troy appeared Jane looked like a beautiful bride. “Hey!” said Troy. “Hiya!” said Jane. They hugged. She was only eight and had a boyfriend! “Hi Frances.” Sneered Troy. “Troy…” grimaced Frances. “Come on kids time to go!” said my mom. “But what about Mack joining us?” asked Jane. “He says he’s going to take me out. Ya’ll are going with Daddy.” Said my mom sadly. “Mom could we stop by the hospital for a little? You know… to see Cody?” I asked. “Sure… I guess it wouldn’t hurt…” said my mom. So we rode over and I limped inside. “Hello, can we see Cody Salamander?” we asked. “Sure… room 12 on your right!” said the woman. “What story?” asked Anthon. “You tell me.” She spat. So we walked over to room twelve on the right and opened the door. There was Cody. He was watching George Lopez. His leg was bandaged thickly and he looked fine. “Hey.” We said. He looked at us. “Hey guys!” he said. “Sorry about the gator attack.” Said Drake. “It’s alright… doesn’t hurt that much…” said Cody. “But it still hurts.” I sighed. “Look Cody… I’m really sorry about that…” I said. “It’s alright. I get out next week.” Said Cody. We all smiled. Then a nurse came in. “Ya’ll have to leave. Cody needs some rest.” Said the nurse. “Bye Cody.” We all said. And then we left. My mom dropped us off at my dad’s house. Dang! You wouldn’t believe how big his house was! A big huge mansion compared to my mom’s house. “Dang! Didn’t know your dad had so much money Al!” said Drake. I shook my head. “There you are Al!” said my dad, coming around back from the house. “Oh and look! You have company. How are you all doing Anna, Anne, Sara, Drake, and Anthon?” asked my dad. James and Claire popped out from behind us. “BOO!” they yelled. “Oh! Don’t do that again!” my dad played. I smiled. He seemed less strict now that he had divorced. “Come on inside. I know I just moved in but… you know, I wanted to make the best… so my mom and dad helped me out.” Said my dad. We entered into a large living room. There was a flat screen TV. Underneath was an Xbox 360, WII, and an Xbox Kinect. I gasped. There was a black couch with a white, furry carpet. There were pictures of all of us (expect my mom) over the walls. There was a bookshelf full of books and beside was a tiny radio. “Dang!” said my friends. “Allie, you’ll love your room if you think this is nice!” said my dad. “Come on.” Said my dad. We followed my dad to the second story. The spiral staircase seemed to only go on for twenty seconds. Then at the top was a long hallway. “First door on the left.” Said my dad. We raced to the first door. I threw it open and nearly choked. I had a huge peace sign on my wall. My name was painted on the green walls. I had a brown bed with a blue canopy above it. I had a huge wide TV screen, and a walk in closet! There was a brown dresser beside my bed. Also there was a furry white carpet in the center of the room in front of a zebra printed couch and two zebra printed chairs! A picture of me and all my friends were on the walls. A little small table with my favorite magazines on a table in the center of where I could sit. “That’s not the best part!” said my dad. He led me over to what seemed like a large computer. He turned it on and it showed… ME! I screamed. There were combs and brushed on the desk, tons of paper, and a big button. “Press it!” said my dad. I pressed the button. A blow dryer flung out of the computer and started hair drying me. “Come on!” said my dad, yanking me out of my chair. My friends were just standing open mouthed at my room. My dad pressed a remote control panel and a handprint showed. “Press your hand on it.” Said my dad. I pressed my hand against the handprint. “Welcome Allie.” Said a computer voice. And the door in front of it opened. Inside was another walk in closet full of drawers of jewelry, an three lines of shoes. There were four drawers of makeup and five drawers of nail polish. I hugged my dad. “I wanted the best for you since you’re growing up kiddo.” He said, rubbing my head. And then he brought James and Claire down the hall. “Al…” said Drake. “Your father is a millionaire!” said Anna. “Nah, it’s my dad’s parents’ money. Remember?” I said. “Yea, but… Allie this is amazing! Now we can rub it in Gavin’s face!” said Anthon. “Oh shut it! He’s dreamy.” Said Anne. “Yea… in your dreams!” said Sara. She glanced over at Anthon. I nudged her. She smiled at me. “I can’t help it.” She mouthed. My friends plopped on the couch. I jumped into the armchair. “Hey! Where’s the remote?” I asked. “Oh forgot to tell you!” said my dad, popping in. “Say on and it’ll turn on. Say whatever channel. It’ll go to hit. Say record and it’ll record it. Say off and it’ll turn off!” said my dad. “On!” I said. The TV turned on like somebody had pressed the TV. “46!” I said. It changed to Nickelodeon. “SPONGEBOB!” we screamed. SpongeBob Square Pants was our favorite show. “Oh!!!! C-A-M-P F-I-R-E Oh s-o-n-g song! C-A-M-P F-I-R-E S-O-N-G SONG! It’ll help… it’ll help if you just sing along! Oh yea!” we sung with SpongeBob. When everybody was laughing my dad came up. “Your mom is here Al.” said my dad glumly. We walked downstairs. Big changes!!!! I smiled and hopped into the car. I couldn’t wait to tell Cody!
Sorry about the changes... I really couldn't fit the love scene in so I changed the title.... ~Emma

Life #1
By: Emma Ladner

Chapter One
I woke up screaming. I had, had a nightmare. I was in a burning building. And then I was on a boat. A man rose in the water holding a giant knife staring at me. He was fixing to use it until I woke up. I looked around. My room was dark, the moon seemed to pour in. I looked at my alarm clock; 2:00 AM. I sighed and laid my head down. I looked across the room and saw eyes. My eyes widened and I looked away. “It’s not real…” I said. I looked up. Eyes were right infront of mine. I screamed again and jumped out of my bed. I dashed the second pair of eyes and flung open the door. I ran down the hallway and ran into my parents’ room. I jumped into the bed. “OW! ALLIE!” screamed my mom, sitting up. My dad turned on the light. “I thought you were twins…” he yawned. “There’s two things in my room!” I yelled. My mom got up and went into my room. I got ready for the scream… but instead my mom turned on the lights. She pointed beside the door. There was my golden retriever pup, Sam, and inside the cat tower was my kitten, Marie. I sighed. “Allie, you’re fourteen… please stop having these nightmares!” said my mom. “Ok…” I said. “Now tomommrow, you can stay up as long as you want… because tomorrow is the last day of school.” Said my mom. She shut off the lights. “Now go to sleep!” she said. And she closed my door.
I was standing alone in complete and utter darkness. I looked at the ceiling. From the light of the moon I could see Marie and Sam, a fan, my bed, my TV, and my backpack. I picked up Sam and placed him on my bed. He climbed up and snuggled by me. Marie pounced onto my back making me jump. Then she snuggled beside Sam. I climbed underneath my covers and closed my eyes. I stroked their fur and then fell asleep.
“WAKIE!” hollered my two year old sister, Claire. Her blond hair was down to her shoulders, she was homely, and she looked like she just saw God. My brother, her twin, James, was right beside her. Both of them were grinning. “MOM!” I screamed. My mom rushed in. “Get them out!” I hollered, jumping from my bed. “Allie, please give them a chance!” said my mom. “No! First Jane ruins my life! Then them?! I can’t take younger siblings!” I screamed. I slammed my door. I dressed myself in nice blue jean shorts. I pulled on a shirt and then sneakers. Then I looked at myself. My hair was messy, my teeth shiny white, my clothes seemed to pop out against my blond hair and blue eyes. I grabbed my brush, brushed it straight, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth then grabbed my bag and headed to school.

The thing you should know about my high school is that it is old. My grandma said she remembered walking down the halls of my high school. And my grandma is dead. I came up to my friends: Cody, Sara, Ashton, Anna and Anne (They are twins), and then there was Drake. “Hey!” I said, hugging all my friends. “Hey!” they all said. Suddenly the top girl of my school walked by. “Wow… that’s one lady.” Said Cody. Ashton and Drake nodded. “Sadly she won’t ever date you because Gavin is dating her!” I said. A boy, Gavin, walked by. He was the most dangerous man in school. “G-Gavin?” said the boys. We nodded. I opened my locker and then started stuffing things in. “What are you doing?” asked Drake. “Cleaning my locker! Thirty minutes until we go to Mrs. Felts!” I said. So we all started cleaning our lockers. I took down my 9th Grade poster, pictures of all of us, my locker tray, mirror, mini posters and that was all. I took out old pencils, chewed up erasers, ripped up papers, old test papers, and some stupid old homework and threw it away. I headed to the bathroom, grabbed a paper towel, wet it, and then headed to the locker. I wiped it down, removing every gum stain, coke smell, and rotten food splatters. Then I threw it away and closed my locker. I took my locker and threw it into my bag. Then I headed off to class because the bell had rang.
I was sad I was leaving Mrs. Felts. She is the nicest teacher in 9th grade. Gavin sat front seat. Drake, Cody, Anthon, Sara, Anne and Anna, and I were all sitting in one row. Mrs. Felts first told us about things, then passed out our report cards. “Now order in a straight line for-“ But the bell had rang. On the last day of school we only had homeroom and then left. We all poured out. I opened my report card and read;

See you next year! Principal McGee
I smiled and folded it. “All A’s!” said Cody. He opened his report card. “Shoot! A ‘B’ in Social Studies!” said Cody. “Better than your last grade! A low ‘B’!” said Sara. Anne and Anna giggled as Gavin walked past. “You think he’s cute?” I asked. Sara rolled her eyes and then looked at Anthon. I nudged her. “Wha-“ she saw me and smiled. “Ha, ha, ha Allie!” she said. I grinned.
When I got home I showed my mom my report card. “Perfect sweetie!” she said. My dad smiled. “Straight A’s for four years…” he mumbled, scratching his chin. “You know what this means don’t you Jim?” asked my mom, walking over to my dad. “Yes…” My dad rolled his eyes and then smiled. “You can get another pet… dog or cat…” he said. I pumped up my fist. “Yes!” I hollered. Claire and James came running down. “I want a bunny!” said Claire. “I want a turtle!” said James. “No, two more years guys.” Said my dad. James and Claire screamed. Soon my mom set them down for a nap. “Can I go get my pet?” I begged. “Go ahead…” said my dad. He grabbed his blackberry. “I’ll let Peter know you’re coming.” He said. Peter, my twenty year old brother, ran the ‘Pete’s Pet Shop’. I ran outside, closing the door, and grabbed my bike. I then began pedaling. On and on I pedaled until I came to the small, tiny shop. When I entered I saw hamsters, snakes, birds, dogs, cats, and then the sign that said; Nursery. “Peter?” I hollered. I heard a rustle and then a bump. “Peter?” I hollered. “I’m in the nursery!” he yelled for the door. I ran inside. He was placing a kitten down into a box. “Another litter?” I asked. “Yea, I’m getting tired of Milky.” He said, petting a black and white cat. Milky is Marie’s mother. I smiled at Milky. “I’ll take her.” I said. “Really? You sure dad wouldn’t be mad?” he asked. “Mom has been saying she wants a cat…” I said, petting Milky. “I also came here for another kitten.” I said. I picked up a black and white spotted kitten. “That’s Darla.” Said Peter, placing her in my palms. I smiled. The little kitten was so small. “You still have that basket Grandma gave you for Christmas, don’t ya?” asked Peter. “Yea.” I said. “Come on in the back.” Said Peter. I walked to the back with Peter where his girlfriend, Melissa, was. “Hey Allie!” she said. I smiled. “Here,” said Peter, grabbing a pink collar. “What about Milky’s collar?” he asked. “Blue, it’s Mum’s favorite color.” I said. Peter took two collar tags and placed them in the machine. “So,” said Peter, as the tags were having the information printed on them. “You passed freshman year?” he asked. “Yea, how about second year?” I asked. “Eh, LSU’s alright.” He said. “I got here early today.” He said, grabbing the tags. He hooked them onto the collars and then placed it on Milky and Darla. “How’s Marie and Sam?” he asked. “Good.” I said. “And James and Claire?” he asked. I nodded. “Two more years until they get a pet Peter.” I said. “Here ya go.” He said, handing me a blanket. I smiled and took Darla, Milky, and the blanket and headed outside. I stuffed the blanket in. “So how much do you get everyday?” I asked. “Of bucks?” asked Peter. I nodded. “About $300…” he said. “Cool…” I said. “Hey tell Mum I’m stopping by to visit today.” Said Peter. I nodded and placed Darla and Milky inside of the basket. “Bye Allie.” He said. “Bye Peter.” I said. And then I headed off.

Chapter Two
When I got back, Mom and Dad were in the den watching the weather channel. “Look!” said Dad. “It’s Uncle Dick!” And truthfully it was; there was my Uncle Dick staring and pointing at a raincloud. “Oh Jim! He’s making such a great report!” said my mom earnestly. “Hey Mom…” I said, holding Milky behind my back. “Yes?” asked my mom. “I brought you a CAT!” I said, holding out Milky. “Oh Allie! You got a pet for me?” asked Mom. “And one of her newest kits.” I said, holding out Darla. “They’re precious!” said my mom. “Now Allie don’t let Claire and James get into that kitten.” Said my mom. “Ok Mom.” I said. I ran upstairs and then closed my door. “JANE!” I screamed. Jane was on my computer chatting with a boy. “Who’s that?” said the boy. “No-“ said Jane. I marched over. “Who are you?!” I asked. “I’m Troy…” said the boy. “Troy, why are you chatting with Jane?” I asked. “Because I’m her-“ “SHUSH!” said Jane. “Shut up Jane! AWAY!” I pushed her on my bed. “You’re her what?” I asked. “Boy-“ said Troy. “HE’S A FRIEND!” sobbed Jane. “Boy?” I asked. “Friend.” Said Troy. “Oh no! Don’t tell Mum! Don’t tell Mum!” screamed Jane. “Boyfriend?” I asked, looking at Jane. She was sobbing. “Yea…” said Troy. “You aren’t ever allowed to contact her here again!” I said. “Wait!” said Troy. But I closed the video chat. I placed Darla beside Marie. “Don’t tell Mum!” screamed Jane. I opened my door. “Mum!” I hollered. “DON’T TELL HER!” screamed Jane, pulling on my t-shirt. Mom came into view. She was reading ‘The Help’. “Yes?” asked Mom. “DON’T-“ screamed Jane. But she saw Mom and ran upstairs. “Mom, Jane has a secret boyfriend from school.” I said. “JANE!” screamed my mom. Jane appeared at the top of the stairs.  “Come here.” Said my mom. Jane slowly walked down. “What’s my rule about boyfriends?” asked my mom. “We can’t date until we’re a freshman in high school…” mumbled Jane. “Yes, so why are you dating?” asked Mom. “Because… well how come Allie gets too?” asked Jane. “I don’t have a boyfriend and I’m a freshman!” I hollered. “You’re grounded for two days.” Said Mom. “Two days?” I said. “Go to your room!” my mom said. Jane trudged upstairs sobbing. Then she slammed the door. Then something dropped and broke. My mom ran upstairs. I ran into my room. Milky, sensing Marie and Darla’s scents, followed me. I entered my room. Milky dashed up to Marie and Darla. They started licking each other. I sat down on my bed and turned on my TV. “I’m back in bussnicess.” I said. Suddenly my phone rang. Mrs. Hancock  it read. I turned down the TV and answered it. “Hello?” I asked. “Hello Allie, It’s Mrs. Hancock.” Said Mrs. Hancock. “Hi.” I said. “Hey, can you come babysit for the triplets?” asked Mrs. Hancock. “Sure, right now?” I asked. “Yes.” Said Mrs. Hancock. “Ok.” I said. “Bye.” Said Mrs. Hancock. I heard a scream from the background. “Anthony put Gracie down!” said Mrs. Hancock. “Bye.” I said, and hung up. I grabbed my phone and placed it in my pocket. “Mom! I’m going to babysit for Mrs. Hancock!” I yelled. “Ok!” said Mom. I raced downstairs and threw open the door and raced down the street. Mrs. Hancock was waiting outside with her twins; Gabby, Gracie, and Anthony. I smiled. “Thank you so much! I’ll be back at nine. Make sure Gabby takes her medicine. Um, have them in bed by seven.” She said. “Okay.” I said. Mrs. Hancock then hurried off in her little convertible. “So what you guys want to do?” I asked. “BARNEY!” they screamed and hurried inside. I followed them, closing the door behind me, and hurried into the kitchen. I washed the dishes and at the same time I cooked them some chicken nuggets. I placed the dishes in the dish washer and hurried into the laundry room. I worked for thirty minutes putting everything where it went. Then I made the beds and then took out the chicken nuggets. “Come here guys!” I hollered. Gabby, Anthony, and Gracie came rushing in. They sat at the table. I poured them apple juice and they ate quickly. The kids ate quickly and then hurried back into the den to watch Barney. Then I headed to the laundry room again and finished the laundry. When I came back down everybody was asleep. And it was 7:35! I sighed. I had failed Mrs. Hancock. I picked them up one by one and dressed them in nightgowns and pajamas. Then I laid them in their cribs and closed their door. Then I walked downstairs and began cleaning the dishes. I put the dishes up I had washed earlier and then placed the rest I had just cleaned into the dishwasher. Thirty minutes later, Mrs. Hancock showed up. “Sorry I’m late Allie.” She said. “Here’s your payment.” And she handed me twenty dollars. “But Mrs. Hancock you gave me too much.” I said. “A lot of it’s a tip! You got all my housely chores done, fed the kids, and got them to go to sleep! I’m surprised!” she said. “Okay, well give me a call Mrs. Hancock.” I said. Mrs. Hancock nodded. I walked outside and turned around to thank her, but she came up and closed the door. I sighed and ran home. In the driveway was Peter’s car. It was parked behind Mom’s surburn. I walked inside. Dad was outside with Peter, Claire, James, Jane, and Mom. Sam was outside too. I walked upstairs. Milky was purring in the cat climb. Darla and Marie were asleep inside the tunnel. Milky seemed to block the entrance like a lock to a gate. I smiled and put my things down. I turned off my TV, which Dad would get on to me about, and then I walked downstairs. Dad was serving hamburgers. “Hey!” I said, walking outside. Melissa came behind me. “Oops, sorry Allie! Didn’t see you there!” said Melissa. “What are we doing out here?” I asked. “Well…” said Mom. “Peter didn’t you tell her the news?” asked Melissa, looking at Peter. “No… I didn’t know she was here.” Said Peter. “Oh! I just got here!” I said. “Oh, well… Melissa you should tell her.” Said Peter. “I’m having twins!” grinned Melissa.

After dinner, I took a long shower and combed my hair out. I pulled on pajamas and underwear and then walked downstairs. Peter and Melissa had left. I sighed and plopped down on the couch. “Here Sam!” I said, patting beside me. Sam rushed over and jumped onto the couch. I turned on ABC Family and watched Bruce Almighty. I laughed at pretty much everything. Finally when it was over, I wanted a midnight snack. I took down some chips and began eating them on the couch. I watched Big Daddy. I love Adam Sandler. He is hilarious. The thing is, my friends and I can’t tell who’s funnier; Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler. As soon as that movie finished I passed out on the couch.

The next morning when I woke up Sam was licking my face. “Sam!” I laughed. I smelled bacon and eggs. I looked over the edge of the counter. Mom was cooking bacon and eggs. Her hair was still in rollers, she was wearing her robe, pajamas, and slippers and she was standing over the stove handling two pieces of food. I smiled and lowered down in the couch. Milky came prancing down the stairs, Darla’s scruff in her mouth. Darla was pouncing around meowing. Marie followed, prancing right after her mother. I smiled as they walked over to get food. I sat up and stretched. I headed upstairs and changed into my clothes. I also combed my hair. Then I walked downstairs. I sat down at the table. “I got paid for some money mom.” I said. My mom nodded. “Can I go over to Peter’s to buy stuff for my pets?” I asked. My mom nodded. I pumped my fist and ran outside, grabbing my bike. Then I jumped on and pedaled to Peter’s Pet Shop. Peter was just getting out of his van with Melissa, who looked plump and fat. I ran right behind Peter. “Whoa! Allie!” said Peter. I ran down the hall of the pets to Sam’s golden retriever mom. She was sleeping. She looked up and panted. “What are you doing? This is our clean out day, we’re giving pets away for-“ “Free.” I finished his sentence. I pointed at Crystal, Sam’s birth mom. “I want Crystal.” I said. “Allie,” said Peter. “Come on! Dad wants a dog!” I begged. “Fine!” said Peter. He grabbed a leash, a collar, and printed a tag out with ‘Crystal’ on it. Then he put all of it on Crystal. “Now what?” he asked. “A giant dog bed.” I said. So that’s what Peter gave me, just he placed it in his car. “Some dog and cat food.” I said. (This was added to the trunk). “A cat toy, a dog toy, a Frisbee, some dog bones, and kitty litter.” I said (All of this was added into Peter’s car). “Melissa, can you follow Allie in the car, while I get everything ready?” asked Peter. Melissa nodded and hopped into the van. I jumped onto my bike and pedaled off. Crystal ran with me. She was barking and her tongue was hanging out to the side. We ran into the driveway and stopped. I parked my bike, grapped Crystal’s leash, and opened the door before Melissa could unbuckle her seatbelt. I let Crystal in and then Melissa helped me carry things in. “Allie not another dog!” said my mom. “It’s for dad! It’s his birthday!” I said. Mom was frozen. Then she headed for her Macbook Pro and began typing Dad a birthday letter. I put the dog bed in the front room and then I put the dog stuff back in, tossed Sam and Crystal a bone (Who had reunited), added kitty litter to the litter box, gave the toys to the animals (who immeadtly sawed at the spines) and then plopped onto the couch. Mom gave me some bacon and eggs, and then she sat down beside me to watch Hannity. When Dad came down we surprised him. “Dad, I have you a great birthday present!” I said. “Wait here!” I ran into the den and placed a birthday bow on Crystal’s head. “Come on Crystal.” I whispered. I led Crystal into the kitchen. Dad smiled. And then frowned. “I don’t want a dog.” He said.
My heart dropped. “But…” I said. “Allie, I know you love animals! But I wasn’t looking for a dog!” he said. “Now take her back to the pet shop!” he said. “NO!” I yelled. Tears were in my eyes. I couldn’t give her away. “Allie,” he said sternly. “DADDY I LOVE HER!” I wailed. “Tim…” said my mom. “No Ashley! She can’t keep getting her way!” said my dad, jumping up. “But daddy!” I wailed. “Give her back!” said my dad. “NO!” I screamed. My mom jumped in front of my dad. “Let her keep her!” my mom yelled. “NO! THIS IS MY HOUSE!” hollered my dad. “THAT MY PARENTS BOUGHT FOR US!” my mom screamed. My dad slapped my mom. There was an echo. I stood there mouth wide open. My mom looked at my dad. “Oh my god…” I whispered. “OUT!” My mom screamed. She pointed at the door. “Ashley… I’m so sorry…” said my dad. “OUT! WE’RE THROUGH! WE’RE HISTORY! JIM! GET OUT MY HOUSE! I WILL NOT EVER LET YOU BACK INTO MY HOUSE!” hollered my mom. A bleeding handprint was dripping down my mom’s face. “Ashley…” said my dad. My mom opened the door. “Ashley!” said my dad. My mom pushed him out, closed the door, and locked it. “ASHLEY!” hollered my dad. He was banging on the windows. My mom locked the windows, closed the blinds, and closed the curtains. Then my mom hurried into the bathroom to wash her cut. I stood there, mouth wide open. Crystal was sitting beside me panting. Then she walked away to the dog bowl. I ran upstairs into my room. I closed my door. Sam, Milky, Darla, and Marie were startled by arrival. I slumped onto my bed and looked outside. My dad was on our porch with his head and his hands. And every once in a while my dad would knock on the window again saying, “Let me say bye to the kids!” I began to cry. None of this would’ve happened if only I hadn’t whined about my dad giving Crystal away. There were pounding of feet outside my door, there was Jane’s voice saying “Allie!”, and there was the whimper of Crystal. I opened the door to find Claire, James, Jane, and Crystal pouring into my room. I closed my door. “What happened to Daddy?” asked Claire, climbing into my lap. James crawled up beside me. I looked at Jane. She look refreshed even after I had told on her. “Did mom and dad… divorce?” asked Jane. I nodded. Jane sat beside me. Then we hugged in a group and cried. Sam and Crystal laid their heads down and Milky, Darla, and Marie hung their heads. Then it began raining. “POW!” it screamed. We looked outside. Dad was still on the porch. But he was soaking wet. “PLEASE!” hollered my dad. He was still crying I could tell just you couldn’t see the tears since there was rain. We began crying and banging on the window. “DAD!” we screamed. But my dad couldn’t hear us because thunder drowned out our voices. The trees were bowing their heads, leaves were fluttering everywhere and people were hurrying inside. My mom busted in. “EVERYBODY, IN THE HALLWAY!” screamed my mom. She looked scared. “What’s happening?” we asked. “A hurricane!” said my mom. She grabbed Milky, Darla, and Marie and placed them in the hall. Then she shooed Crystal and Sam out into the hall. We followed her; I brought my phone and computer with me. Then we sat in the hall. We curled up beside each other and then, “WAIT DADDY!” We looked and saw Claire and James standing up. “CLAIRE! JAMES! SIT DOWN!” screamed my mother. But Claire and James probably hadn’t heard because they were halfway down the hall when my mom finished. “JAMES! CLAIRE!” screamed my mom. “WE GOT THEM!” Jane and I said. “NO! JANE! ALLIE! COME BACK!” hollered my mom. Jane and I fled down the stairs. They were throwing open the door. My dad ran inside. Jane and I grabbed the twins and we rolled back as soon a giant gust of snow began to fall. We closed the door. “Blizzards… rain…” said my dad. My mom came down. And then she ran upstairs and slammed her door. “Mom is still upset.” Said Jane, wiping her clothes off. “I can see…” said my dad. Milky, Darla, and Marie ran downstairs. “I’m going to Grammy’s now.” said my dad, hugging us. “Bye.” He said. And then he left. We sat there staring at where he had just been. And then we left.

Chapter Three
The roaring and blizzards soon rode away like horses. It moved over to Texas, where my aunt Jenny lives. But that doesn’t really matter. I kept looking out the window to see if Dad would come strolling up our driveway. But nothing happened. A few days later, when I was sitting on the couch, I saw a blur of light outside my window. Cody was strolling up. He was holding a sleeping bag, a bag of clothes, and nothing else. He wore jeans and a black north face jacket. He also wore a white t-shirt that said; Skateboarding King. I smiled. Well my mom wouldn’t mind with Cody. She knows his mom. And then up came Anna and Anne. I lowered my face. What was going on? And then came up Anthon, Drake, and Sara on their bikes! They all came up to the door and knocked. I threw it open. “Can we stay the night?” they all asked. “Mom!” I yelled. “Yes?!” screamed my mom. “CAN MY FRIENDS SPEND THE NIGHT?!” I screamed. “SURE!” she yelled. “What’s up with your mom?” asked Cody, coming in. Anne, Anna, Drake, Anthon, and Sara followed. I closed the door. “So much for winter…” said Anne. “Yea, it feels like the Earth’s core out there.” Said Anna. “Why’s Cody wearing a jacket then?” I asked. “Because I like north face.” Said Cody. “Oh come on Cody,” said Sara. “Aero Postal is the new thing. North face was WAY last year.” Said Sara. “Honestly, I really don’t care about if it’s way last year. I stick to shorts and t-shirts.” Said Anna. It was true. But Anne was way different. She cared about everything. “Drake, why are you so quiet?” asked Anne. “Eh, you know… same old… same old…” said Drake, and then he looked away. “My mom won’t buy me anything. I have to save up for myself.” Said Anthon. “Why?” I asked. “She doesn’t have a job.” Said Anthon, plucking a nickel into the air and catching it. “Well come on.” I said. Everybody picked up their stuff and followed me up to my room. “Dang, two bedrooms… You got the master bedroom.” Said Cody, plopping his things down. “Three, counting the bathroom.” Said Anna. I smiled. “It’s not much…” I said, throwing myself on my bed. “Uh, what?” asked Sara. “Dang, looks like something I could dream of.” Said Anthon. I rolled my eyes. Everybody rolled their stuff out. Then Crystal began barking. “Whoa! Sam grew!” said Drake. Then Sam came up and barked. “And had puppies?” asked Cody. “No! The puppy is Sam. The dog is Crystal, Sam’s mom.” I said. They nodded. I walked over to my door and let the dogs out. “So…” said Cody, plopping down on the couch. “A new George Lopez is on…” said Anna. “And then we can go to the pool party at Mason’s.” said Sara. So we turned on George Lopez and watched that. And then we all got dressed for the pool party. I dressed in a green bikini with white polka dots. Then we headed out. “Mom! We are going to Mason’s!” I hollered. “Have fun!” screamed my mom. I closed the door. “Seriously, Allie there’s something wrong with your mom.” Said Cody. He hopped on his bike. “My bike is broken.” I lied. “Ride on Cody’s handlebars.” Said Anthon, picking up his peg. I jumped onto the front of Cody’s bike and sat down. Then Cody began pedaling. We all pedaled to Mason’s pool party.“Welcome…” said a  body card. “Name?” he asked. “Um…” I said. “Allie Johnson, Cody Snickers, Anthon Holly, Anne and Anna Smeltings, Drake Salmander…” said Sara. “And Sara Kessen.” Finished Drake. “Go on.” Said the man. We smiled and walked in. “Wow!” we said. The pool was crowded. There was a DJ and everybody was dancing, swimming, and eating. Some people were down by the dock getting ready to tube. “Let’s go tubing!” we said. And we raced down to the dock. I was first to board onto the tube. Then Cody jumped in beside me. “Let’s do this!” hollered Mason. And he started the boat. We began tubing, faster and faster. I screamed and waved my hands. When we finished we swam for bit, ate for a bit, and talked for a bit. And then Cody pulled me aside. “Allie…” he said. “Yea?” I laughed. “Um… I’ve been wanting to ask you this…” said Cody. “Allie! Look this potato chip looks like Justin Bieber’s head!” said Sara. Then Anthon pulled Sara to the pool. “What?” I asked. “Will you be my…” said Cody. “ALLIGATOR!” screamed Mason. “What?” I asked. “Will you be my girl-“ said Cody. “RUN!” screamed Mason’s friend. “Come again?” I said. “Will you be my girlfriend?” asked Cody. I stared at him. “RUN!” screamed Mason. And then Mason pushed past me and pushed me into the bayou.
Something grabbed me.

Singing like a Mircale

Singing like a Mircale
By: Emma Ladner

Chapter One
Two days after I was born my Mama died. Along with my twin sister. It was a hot July morning, it was a wet day too. My mama and my sister were driving back from the beach. My mama had just informed my Papa that she was coming on home. In the street a big huge red truck came and crashed into my Mama’s car. Mama’s car rolled over. My sister, had not had her seat belt on and rolled out the window. Of course the car rolled over her. Down at the crack of the hill was a gasoline tank giving new gasoline to a gasoline tank. Mama and her car rolled right into that truck and the truck, my mama, and her car exploded. Of course my mama died! Anyways as soon as my Papa found out he went to the crime scene. And on top of that red truck was my Uncle Jimmy. My brothers were surprised. I didn’t know anything about it, seeing I was just a baby. Anyways my Papa got into an explosive argument with my Uncle Jimmy. My Uncle tried to explain it was an accident but my Papa wouldn’t forgive him, stroking my sister’s wet hair. Papa kept on crying and Uncle Jimmy kept on apolgozing and my brothers just kept on staring. I can’t forget that day. Not only was it the day my Mama and my sister were killed but it was also my one month birthday.
But that was fourteen years ago. I turned fourteen just a month ago and a lot of things have changed in the house. We adopted two little kids. A girl named Cassie and a boy named Peter. My older brothers; Jessie and James were about seventeen meaning they got to know my Mama till they were three years old. Papa lost his happy love smile. Now instead of his nice, cheerful blue eyes, are blue eyes that are lonely. Looking like they are searching for some kind of answer to their life and meaning. My Papa also grew a beard and a mustache and he only has one picture of every single real family member together. And that picture is on his bedside table. It showed a nice man with his arm around a gorgeous woman. The man, my Papa, was holding my sister, Kate. And the woman, my mama, was holding me in her lap. Jessie and James were beside them and we were sitting on the couch. At my mama and papa’s feet was our dead dog, Sammie. Sammie died seven years ago. So I was only seven. My papa had another picture. Papa and Mama on their wedding day hugging each other. Papa found it in my sister’s princess purse when he was stroking her hair. Papa won’t let us get another dog or a cat. He says it was my Mama’s favorite animals. He also won’t let us get a turtle or a rabbit. He said that was Kate’s favorite animals. The thing I  hate about drives with my Papa is that he looks out the window every time as if he’s going to see my Mama and my sister coming up that hill. On Saturday my Papa skips work to go to my sister and mama’s graves. He places flowers on them, kisses his fingers and then touches the graves and then he prays. Sometimes he prays for us but mostly it’s for my Mama and sister.

Chapter Two
One night I came into my Papa’s room. He was holding a picture of him and my mama together. He had tears in his eyes and tears trickling down his cheeks. “Papa,” I said. My Papa looked up. “Yes Beth?”  he asked. “It’s Anna Papa.” I said. “Oh yes… you’re not Beth… she’s dead.” Said my papa. I looked down at my feet and then up at my Papa. “Cassie’s ill Papa. Can you go fetch Dr. Herman?” I asked. “Why?” asked my Papa. “Cause Cassie ill.” I said. “I really don’t want to. What’s the point of saving somebody when you’ve lost everything else?” asked my Papa. I stared at my Papa for a long time. He was pretty much saying Jessie, James, and I were nothing to him! “Because, well you’ll feel guilty.” I said. “I feel like dying Anna.” Said my Papa. “Papa don’t murder y0urself!” I said. “Anna what’s the point of living if you have nothing left?” asked my Papa. I ran and jumped beside my Papa and began sobbing. “Papa p-p-please don’t die!” I said. “Anna come on! You’re too old for this!” said my Papa. “I’m too young for you to die too!” I sobbed. “Anna,” My Papa put me on his lap. “I’ve known your mama for a very long time.” He said, pulling hair behind my ear. “When I was new in fourth grade your mama helped me become popular. If it wasn’t for her you wouldn’t be here and I would be a moron.” Said my papa. “We began dating at age twelve and kept it going for ten years. We dated through high school and had many dates. We went to the same college and had many dates. I was the quarterback of the college football team. She was the captain of the college cheerleading team.” Said my Papa. “I grew up with your mama, and want to know what I said when you and Kate came into my arms?” asked my Papa. I shrugged. “I said ‘Beth they look exactly like you!’ and I wasn’t wrong. Just look at your mama and look at you!” said my Papa. I look at the picture of my Mama and then at me in my Papa’s mirror. “We do look alike Papa.” I said. “I will stay alive as long as I can bare.” Said my Papa. Then there was long scream. Jessie came running in. “Anna! It’s Cassie!” said Jessie. I came running into Cassie’s room. Her arm was out pointing at something and screaming. “CASSIE!” I said. I ran over. “Cassie! Stop!” I said. Cassie looked as if something was going to kill her. “CASSIE!” I said. But Cassie’s arm dropped, her scream faded and her pupils fell to white. She was dead. I began crying and soon everybody began crying. I looked at the wall were she had been pointing and saw the letters. ‘You’re Dead’. No wonder she had freaken out! But how had she died? I stared at my sister and then later that week we buried her beside my sister and my mama. Now my Papa had an extra person. He had Cassie and there was nothing Papa could do about it.

Sunday morning came, and we all dressed up for church. I wore a nice long dress. A pretty pink one. I pulled my black hair in a bun and put on white shoes. My brothers, however put on a nice tuxedos. I then grabbed my bible, and walked over to church with my family. Many people were there to gather for the praying of the lord. I bowed my head and we said a pray. The thing I like about church is when we come to have a pray we have to hold each other’s hands. And who is the person I have to hold hands with? Cody Duncan, the most popular boy in my school. See I don’t have any friends so obviously Cody and I have no chance of getting together. See popular and nerdy time don’t go together. Popular people don’t like to do school work, they would rather be by friends. Now nerdy people; like me, like to do work and homework and extra credit projects. I’ve never been late but the school finds this odd since James and Jesse were big goof-offers. When I went to sleep I said a pray for everybody I knew and prayed for Cassie, who now lay in the holy god’s arms.

Chapter Three
School
The thing about school is if you aren’t cool there isn’t a chance of you having any friends. Cody Duncan has many friends. I’m not as cool. I’m what you Americans would call a ‘teacher’s pet’. People judge me by my clothing. See Papa never buys us our own clothes so I have to make clothes for everybody. However, Papa would rather lay dead as ashes. When I walked in Monday, I went straight to my teacher’s room. We don’t switch classes but we do have breaks. I gave my teacher my extra credit project on Stars and then I took a seat. I took out my homework and then I began writing my essay about the planets. Mercury, But I only got to Mercury because who would dump his breakfast on my paper by Sammie Wilson, Cody Duncan’s best friend. He had just strutted in. I looked at Sammie. “You wild mouth!” I said. It was suddenly quiet. I didn’t know what I had just done! And then I remembered I called Sammie Wilson a wild mouth. Nobody had the guts because Sammie would have beat you right then and there if they wasn’t an adult around. I ran out of the classroom and I bumped into Cody Duncan. The one person I didn’t want to see at this moment. “Oops! Sorry!” said Cody, standing up. I stood up. “Hey aren’t you Beth Simpson?” asked Cody. I nodded. “Look you don’t want to be seen with me.” I said. “Cody!” said Sammie. Cody looked at Sammie. “Yeah?” asked Cody. “What are you doing with Nerdy?” asked Sammie. “Nerdy?” I asked. “Yea Nerdy. Cody came up with the nickname for you.” Said Sammie. I looked at Cody. I felt tears swell up in my eyes. “Cody, is that true?” I asked. “Well of course it’s true!” said Sammie. Cody bowed his head. “I’m sorry Beth.” He muttered. I broke into a sob and ran down the hall to the girl’s bathroom. I washed my face and then I walked back to class where I did a example of alegrba. I then did an example of every other thing imaginable. Then we walked to our classes. When I walked into music class I saw Cody Duncan. I clutched my music book and my violin and then I walked and sat down in my chair. “Morning students!” said my music teacher, setting down her book. “Who wants to sing first?” asked the music teacher. Nobody, not even my teacher, knew I would be the first to raise my hand. See I usually don’t like singing because one mistake can make you miserable for the rest of your life. “Miss Beth?” asked my music teacher. I put my violin and music book down. I walked to the front. “Well… class what a surprise!” said the music teacher. “Well take it away Beth!” said my music teacher. “Well I visited America for a project. And I heard this song many times so I decided to sing it.” I said.
No, I can't take one more step towards you
‘Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

[Chorus:]
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?

I hear you're asking all around
If I am anywhere to be found
But I have grown too strong
To ever fall back in your arms

I've learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

It took so long just to feel alright
Remember how to put back the light in my eyes
I wish I had missed the first time that we kissed
‘Cause you broke all your promises
And now you're back
You don't get to get me back

Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
When I finished there was the wildest applause. I nearly fainted so I sat down immeadilty. “BEAUTIFUL!” cried my teacher. She was crying. “Oh I must go get the principal!” and she ran off. It was then silent. I clutched my hands and bowed my head. I felt many eyes on top of me. A few minutes later my music teacher and the principal arrived. “Sing!” said the music teacher. I stood up.
No, I can't take one more step towards you
‘Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

[Chorus:]
And who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Soon the PTA arrived, then the teachers, and then who would it be but the whole school. Assembly was taken place in the gym. I had no idea why though. “Hello, I’m Beth Simpson. And I’m going to sing a song I heard in America.” I said. I looked at my music teacher and she played the song notes I had given to her on the piano.
No, I can't take one more step towards you
‘Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
When I finished the school clapped and the PTA decided to put up posters. I knew I was going to fulfill my mother’s dream. On opening night I looked at the seat I had reserved for my Papa. I stared at it. It was empty. I looked at the crowd. I didn’t see my Papa anywhere. The piano began playing. I began singing.
No, I can't take one more step towards you
‘Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

[Chorus:]
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?

I hear you're asking all around
If I am anywhere to be found
But I have grown too strong
To ever fall back in your arms

I've learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time

It took so long just to feel alright
Remember how to put back the light in my eyes
I wish I had missed the first time that we kissed
‘Cause you broke all your promises
And now you're back
You don't get to get me back

Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Then I saw my Papa. He came right when I finished the last word. I looked at my teacher. “May I sing another song?” I asked. “Sure dear.” I handed her the notes.
I began singing.
If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh, uh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white, when I come into your kingdom
I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
I've never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand,
There's a boy here in town who says he'll love me forever,
Who would have thought forever could be severed by

The sharp knife of a short life, well,
I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell them for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin'
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin'

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh (uh, oh)
The ballad of a dove (uh, oh)
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save them for a time when you're really gonna need them, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls.”
The crowd stood up and clapped. So did my Papa. He grinned at me. I grinned back. Papa smiled at me as if he was seeing Mama and Kate. And then I hopped off the stage and hugged my Papa.
Chapter Four
Deaths
Over the next few months I became popular even though I was a nerdy girl. Cody, however, asked me out. I thought about my Papa’s rule. “No dating until you are sixteen.” I looked at Cody and said, “I really would Cody, just my Papa made a rule of no dating until you are sixteen.” I said. “Beth, your brothers started dating at fourteen! Can’t you?” asked Cody. “Cody I’m nothing like my brothers. Now they are used to breaking rules. Turning against their families members. And sometimes they even turn against God.” I said. “I’m a true Christian Cody. And I honestly can’t date you. I’m very sorry.” I said. “What about making a law?” asked Cody. “Cody I’m not spending my college money to make a new law. Plus, I don’t want to change something just so I can have it.” I said. “Beth come on!” said Cody. “Cody you should just be thankful of what you have!” I said. Cody stared at me. “What?” he asked. “You have a home, a family, and food!” I said. “So?” he asked. “So…” I said, grabbing my books. “Some people in  the world Cody. Are less fournate.” I said. “They don’t have anything! Babies, some of them don’t have any food, families, or an homes!” I said. “So what? That’s not our problem!” said Cody. “Cody you’re a Christian and you are supposed to pray for the less fournate. God says that, that is the best thing to do during times when you are praying.” I said. “I don’t see you praying!” said Cody. “I do pray Cody. And I know you do too. My Papa was best friends with your Papa. And then my Papa turned against his brother and your Papa turned against my Papa!” I said. Cody sneered at me and walked off. I grinned. I’d done the right thing. I hadn’t broken anything. Then Jessie and James came running down the hall. “Beth!” they yelled, running to me. “What’s wrong guys?” I asked. “Papa! Papa he’s been murdered!” said Jessie. “What?”I asked. “Come on!” said James, they grabbed my hands and we ran down the hallway.
When we came home we ran to our Papa’s bed. His wallet was on the ground and wide open. Papa lay beside it. He really was dead. I bent down to my Papa and cried. “What happened?” I asked. “Bandits!” said James, coming down beside Papa. “Papa! Papa no please!” I cried. Peter came running in. I bowed my head on top of Papa and I cried. “Papa please!” I said. My Papa reached his hand out. “Beth…” his voice was crisp. “Papa!” I said, grabbing his hands. “You proved me wrong angel.” He said. “Papa don’t die!” I said. “You made a dream come true Beth. You are a miracle.” Said my Papa. And his hand dropped and his eyes closed and he whispered. “I love you.” I began sobbing. My brothers stood there and stared at my father. “Papa!” we yelled.
The next week when we came home Peter had been murdered by bandits also. “Peter!” we said. I swept him up. “I was supposed to take care of him!” I said. And I wept on him. We buried Peter and Papa right beside Kate, Cassie, and Mama. Then we prayed. Everybody stared at me and my brothers over the weeks. Apparently they had all heard about my brother and papa’s death. When my brothers and I walked down the hall it became quiet and everybody watched us.
One day James checked out because he was sick. When we got home he had died of illness. “What did he have Jessie?” I asked. “Cancer.” Said Jessie, holding up a fistful of James’s hair. “Cancer?! Oh James please don’t be dead! We’ve already lost enough!” I cried. But then again we buried another family member and prayed. The next three years Jessie and I didn’t forget the sudden deaths. Then one day during a assembly, Jessie stayed behind to get some water and he choked on the water and died. When we got back the principal called me to the office and I cried over my brother. I went on to my senior year and graduated high school. Then came the hardest thing that would ever happen to me…
College.

Chapter Five
Eight College Years
I went to a college with Cody. There we started dating at the beginning of the year. It was a private college. Now days there isn’t any private colleges but this one I went to was. I wore a nice navy blue leather dress with black shoes. The boys wore navy blue tuxedos. I met fifty girls my first year. Two of them died from having too much sugar before soccer. My three best friends from college were in my cabin; Jenny, Crystal, and Anne. On Saturday nights Cody would come to pick me up and Jenny, Crystal, and Anne all watched as we drove away in Cody’s station wagon. I decided to become a teacher. Then I learned that Cody decided to be a banker. Then when we graduated and earned our degrees to become teachers and bankers I decided to become a newspaper writer. Cody decided to be a miner. So we stayed another four years and then Cody purposed to me at our graduation at age twenty-eight. Of course I said yes! We had dated for eight years! I wrote a letter to Jenny, Crystal, and Anne that Cody and I were marrying and I wanted them to be my bridesmaids.

Chapter Six
The Wedding
On the day of my wedding I wore a long white dress. I wore a silkly veil and I held a bouquet of roses. Jenny, Crystal, and Anne all wore pink dresses. Cody, of course, wore the casual tuxedo. I came up beside Cody and looked at the preacher and the preacher began. “Marriage is what brings people together. To bring generations of children into this world. God made marriage for humans to go on in life. Today we bring Beth Kathleen Simpson and Cody James Duncan together for their marriage.” Said the preacher. He turned the page of his book. “Rings!” the preacher hollered. A little boy waddled up, handed the rings to us, and ran 0ff. Cody put the ring on my ring finger.  “Now repeat after me Cody.” He said. Cody nodded. “I, Cody James Duncan take Beth Kathleen Simpson to be my wife through sickness, health, and death.” Said the preacher. And Cody repeated it. Cody put the ring on my finger all the way. “Now repeat after me Beth.” Said the preacher. I nodded. I  took the ringer and placed it on Cody’s finger. “I, Beth Kathleen Simpson, take Cody James Duncan to my husband through sickness, health and death.” I said. The preacher nodded. I placed the ring on his finger. “Do you Cody James Duncan take Beth Kathleen Simpson to be your wife as long as you live?” asked the preacher. “I do.” Said Cody. “And do you Beth Kathleen Simpson take Cody James Duncan to be your husband as long as you live?” asked the preacher. “I do.” I said. “You may now kissed the bride.” Said the preacher, closing his book. Cody lifted my veil and kissed me. Then they took a photograph of us. After that we got billions of dollars and we cut the cake. We said a pray and got in the station wagon. I threw my flowers and Jenny caught them and hugged Sammie. Cody and I laughed and then we rode off.

Chapter Seven
The Graveyard of Love
My sons and daughters soon got married and left me and had children of their own. Cody left me the day before our last grandchild was born. One day I walked to the graveyard were my family was buried. Their souls flew up. “Mama? Kate? Papa? James? Jessie? Peter? Cassie?” I asked. They all nodded. “How is this possible?” I asked. “Because we love you and you love us.” Said Mama. “I can’t believe I’m actually getting to see you.” Said Kate. She was still young. “Kate!” I said. I ran to hug her put I went through her. “Does it… hurt to die?” I asked, getting up with my cane. “No it’s really quick.” Said Papa. “Yeah just hope you don’t die of cancer.” Said James. “From what James says it’s way slower.” Said Jessie. “I died because the devil killed me.” Said Cassie. “Cassie says Satin came to her in her bedroom that night.” Said Peter. “Peter I’m so sorry I didn’t take better care of you. And you too Cassie.” I said. “You did a fine job of making my dream come true Beth.” Said Mama. I smiled and I began crying. “Beth,” said Mama. I looked up at her. “You’re dying.” Said Mama. And I suddenly had a heart attack. Well I was about a hundred and eight so it wasn’t so much of surprise. It was quick and non painful. And then I died. I was buried right beside my family. Cody lay beside me and for generations my grandchildren, children and so on and so forth were laid beside us. And soon the graveyard of all of us became only our family graveyard.

Allie Diner

Allie Diner
By: Emma Ladner

Chapter One
One night at dinner Mr. Diner decided to tell his family some news. “I’ve been fired.” Said Mr. Diner. “Ted that’s horrible.” Said Mrs. Diner. “Don’t worry I found a job,” said Mr. Diner. “Oh that’s real good Ted.” Said Mrs. Diner. “It’s in Tennennesse.” Said Mr. Diner. It was quiet at the table. “Tennennesse? Oh that’s very good I can finally make my own,” But Allie Diner interrupted her. “Tennennesse?” asked Allie. “Yes Allie, Tennennesse.” Said Mr. Diner. “Dad why Tennennesse?” asked Allie. “Allie it’s a very good job I assure you. You’ll be going to a private school.” Said Mr. Diner. “A private school?” asked Allie. Her older brothers, Jessie and Ben snickered. “Yes that’s for Jessie and Ben too.” Said Mr. Diner. “Fine with us.” Said Jessie. “As long as there’s hot girls.” Said Ben, flipping his brown hair. Jessie flipped his blond hair. “Oh boys stop it!” said Mrs. Diner. “What about Claire?” asked Allie. “Claire will be going to a regular school.” Said Mr. Diner. “Why?” asked Allie. “Come on Allie, give it up. There’s no way dad’s going to change his mind.” Said Jessie. “Shut up!” said Allie. “And I’ll be making my very own garden and a few weeks after we move in we can go to Lowes and buy nice paint. And if we need them, windows and doors.” Said Mrs. Diner. “What about Jack?” asked Claire. The Diners looked at their precious golden retriever puppy, Jack. “Jack will come too.” Said Mr. Diner. “Dad do they even let on planes?” asked Claire. “Of course they do! Dad wouldn’t make us leave Jack on the streets.” Said Allie. “Ted when we get there can we get a cat?” asked Mrs. Diner. “I don’t know dear. The house is very large.” Said Mr. Diner. “Will I have a walk-in closet?” asked Allie. “What’s a walk-in closet?” asked Claire. “It’s like my closet dear.” Said Mrs. Diner. “Ooh! I want a walk in closet too!” said Claire, clapping her hands. “We better start packing.” Said Mr. Diner. “Why?” asked Allie. “We leave the day after tomommrow.” Said Mr. Diner. “Sweet hot girls riding horses in just two days.” Said Jessie. Jack parked. “Boys make that three days remember we have to ride a plane there.” Said Mr. Diner. “Can’t we drive?” asked Ben. “Tennennesse over the Pacific Ocean!” said Allie. “Couldn’t we borrow a submarine from Uncle Chris?” asked Ben. “Uncle Chris is in Boston.” Said Mrs. Diner. “That’s nice.” Grumbled Allie, wishing she too were in Boston. “Well it’s settled then Tennennesse it is!” said Mr. Diner, clapping his hands. The next day at sunrise Allie woke up at six o’clock. Although it was summer time Mrs. Diner wanted everybody to wake up at six o’clock to start packing. When Allie went to the bathroom she could hear Jessie and Ben snoring from downstairs. When Allie left the bathroom she took two pairs of clothes and set them out then she took her I Phone and called her friend. Her best friend was in Paris. But when Allie realized she was she immeadtly hung up. Allie put her phone on her desk and dragged a box out and slid all her Nancy Drew books off the shelf. Then she dumped her clothes in. When Mrs. Diner came in and saw the mess she shook her head. “Allie you need to put the books in nice order. Not in a big mess. I don’t want the neighbor to think we are maniacs.” Said Mrs. Diner. “Good luck to Jessie and Ben then.” Said Allie. Mrs. Diner stacked her books up into two even piles in the box and then she folded Allie’s clothes. While she did that Allie got a text from her friend who was in downtown visiting her grandparents. Hey what’s up? –Ashley Allie texted back I’m moving to Tennennesse! =( When she sent it she began putting all her shoes in when she got another text. What?! Why? =( Allie wrote Because my retarded father got a job in Tennennesse. Allie didn’t get another text from Ashley. Allie soon got onto her Macbook Pro and went on to video chat with her best friend. When her best friend picked up Allie grinned. “Hey!” said her friend. “Hey what’s up Sina?” asked Allie. “Nothing but Paris is great!” said Sina. “Show me the Eiffel Tower!” said Allie. Sina turned and Allie saw a tall building but in front were tons of trees. “Wow Sina!” said Allie, as Sina’s face reappeared. “You’re so lucky!” Then Allie sighed. “What’s wrong?” asked Sina. “I’m moving.” Said Allie. “Well that’s alright if we aren’t next door neighbors. We can still see each other at church and school.” Said Sina. “No I’m moving to Tennennesse!” said Allie. “That’s over the Pacific Ocean!” said Sina. “Exactly we leave tomommrow.” Said Allie. “Well I’ll be home at midnight tonight.” Said Sina. “We leave at 3:00 in the afternoon.” Said Allie. “That’s sad.” Said Sina. There was a yell. “Sina put up your computer!” said the voice. “Are you going on a Wi-Fi plane?” asked Sina. “Hold on.” Allie turned around. “Mom are we going onto a Wi-Fi plane?” asked Allie. “What’s Wi-Fi?” asked Mrs. Diner. “Wireless Internet!” said Allie. “Yes.” Said Mrs. Diner. “Yea.” Said Allie, turning back to Sina. “Ok bye!” said Sina. And Allie closed her computer. “Hey mom come see this!” hollered Ben from downstairs. Allie and Mrs. Diner went downstairs to see Allie’s youngest sibling, Ken, banging pots together. “Ken!” laughed Mrs. Diner. Claire came in. Mrs. Diner took the pots away from him. “Allie help me with pots and pans.” Said Mrs. Diner, taking a box. She dumped pots and pans in. Allie put bowls in, cups in, plates, and silver wear! When they finished the kitchen Mrs. Diner ordered Chinese food. “Now eat up!” said Mrs. Diner. As the Chinese food came. “We still have tons of packing to do!” She poured Jack so food and he yelped as Ken pulled his tail.

Chapter Two
The next day the house was empty. The fireplace had logs in it and everything was packed in boxes. At 2:45 the moving truck came. “Ok, furniture is upstairs and downstairs.” Instructed Mr. Diner. “Now be careful!” said Mrs. Diner as they carried boxes out to the moving truck. They all put boxes in one by one. Allie looked in the driveway and didn’t see Sina’s car. She sighed. Maybe they wouldn’t make it. When the last of the furniture came in it was 2:59. “Everybody in the car!” said Mrs. Diner. The moving men climbed into the moving van and Jessie climbed to the van. Then Ben, and Claire. Mrs. Diner buckled in Ken and as Allie began to climb in she heard a yell. “WAIT!” Allie turned and saw Sina running. “WAIT!” Ashley followed her. “Sina? Ashley?” asked Allie, jumping off the car. “WAIT ALLIE!” hollered Ashley. Sina hugged Allie and Ashley hugged Allie. “We want to give you this.” Said Sina. She gave Allie a present. It was half a heart. It had the letters Best. “What’s this?” asked Allie. Sina showed the middle of the heart and Ashley showed the end. They put them together and it spelled Best Friends Forever. Allie felt tears. “Allie don’t cry!” said Sina. Sina and Ashley began crying too and they hugged. “Come on Allie!” hollered Jessie. “Yea let’s go!” said Ben. “Kak!” said Ken, clapping his hands. Claire was playing her DS. “I’ll face time with ya’ll every day!” said Allie. “Make sure you video chat with us on the plane and at your new house!” said Ashley. “Yea don’t forget us Allie.” Said Sina. “Forget ya’ll? How on Earth could I ever forget?” asked Allie. They hugged. “Come on Allie!” said Mr. Diner. “Bye guys.” Said Allie. They hugged and Allie climbed in and closed the door. She rolled down the window. “BYE!” hollered Allie. Sina and Ashley grabbed their bikes and rode after the car. “BYE!” they hollered, still pedaling. The girls stopped at the corner and Allie saw them disasspeared from view. Allie grabbed her I Phone and pressed face time and pressed the contact ‘Sina’. Sina didn’t answer the first time but she answered the second time. “I miss ya’ll all ready!” said Allie. Sina laughed and Ashley faced appeared. “We do too!” They laughed.

At the airport Allie turned off her phone and began charging her phone. She placed her bags and boxes on some place and then they placed Jack in a kennel and a woman took him and put him on board. Allie unplugged her phone which was fully charged, grabbed her computer and followed her family to the doorway. They handed their tickets and got on the plane. Jessie and Ben began a song called, “Kiss me all you want.” It went like this; Kiss me all you want baby! I want your soft lips on me! After that verse Mrs. Diner said it was inapproiate to say around Claire and Ken. Then Ken said, “ON me!” Mrs. Diner grimaced at Jessie and Ben. Allie took her computer and went to video chat. Seeing her friends weren’t on line she texted Ashley and Sina Hey what’s up guys? Then she sent it and waited. The pilot to the speaker. “Hello this is flight 165 to Nashville, Tennennesse!” said the lady. “Thank you very much and please fasten your seatbelts we will leave in exactly five minutes!” said the woman. Claire turned around. “Allie?” Allie looked up. She was still waiting for Sina to text back. “Have you ever rode a plane before?” asked Claire. “Once I was going to camp in New York.” Said Allie. “Couldn’t you take a car?” asked Claire. “No Mom didn’t want me to.” Said Allie. Her phone finally rang and her message read Nothin but we r still crying our eyes out. Have ya’ll left yet? Allie replied No And then looked up at Claire. She was messing around with her Barbie Fashion Designer. “Mom,” said Allie. Her mother was asleep. “Mom,” said Allie. She shook Mrs. Diner. She woke up. “What is it Allie? Ken’s gone.” Said Allie. “What?” asked Mrs. Diner. “Ken is gone.” Said Allie. She looked around. She looked at Mr. Diner. “Ted have you seen Ken?” asked Mrs. Diner. Mr. Diner shook his head. “Ma?” asked Ken. They looked up and saw Ken in the storage apartment. “Ken my baby!” said Mrs. Diner, unhooking her seatbelt. “Come here Kenny. Come to mama!” said Mrs. Diner. “I stay!” said Ken, clapping his hands. “Yummy!” he said. He reached back and came back with a chocactle chip cookie. “Hey those our mine!” said Claire, who had taken her attention off her Barbie. Mrs. Diner picked up Ken and sat him in her lap and fastened her seatbelt. Ken began sucking his thumb. “Nice going Allie.” Snickered Jessie, who sat beside Allie. “Yea.” Said Ben, he sat by the window. “We’re taking off in two minutes people!” said the pilot. Allie got a text Look out your window! Allie turned and looked out her window. She saw Sina and Ashley and their families waving signs like We’ll miss ya’ll! Or Hurry on Back! Allie smiled at Sina and Ashley’s sign WE LOVE YOU ALLIE! They both wore big smiles. “One minute!” said the pilot. Allie texted back. That’s so sweet but back up and hurry the plane is fixing to take off! She looked out the window again and saw Sina looking at her phone. Ashley still held her sign. She showed it to her mom and they backed away. Sina and Ashley waved. Allie wished she could wave back but they wouldn’t people to see her. The windows were black! Allie snuggled down and began crying. “Stop being a puss Allie.” Said Jessie. “Toughen up; I can’t stand having a sister that’s a puss.” Said Ben. “Hmm I haven’t heard that one before.” Allie said sarcastically. Jessie and Ben sneered at her. And she sneered back. “WE ARE TAKING OFF IN TWENTY SECONDS! PLEASE BUCKLE!” shouted the woman. Allie buckled up again and Allie noticed a little kid running down the aisles. Then he climbed into one aisle and sat in a woman’s lap. “FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE!” The plane suddenly began zooming and lifted into the air. Allie saw Chicago disasspeared and she got a text Bye Allie! Allie felt tears and ignored Ben and Jessie’s comments about her crying. That was until one of them slapped her face.

After a few hours a woman came down with a cart. Allie asked for a pack of peanuts and paid her five dollars. Jessie started asking her ‘Will you go out with me?” and the woman replied, “I’m engaged for your information. And you are too young for me.” And she went off pushing the cart. Jessie got up. “Move.” He said. “Where are you going?” asked Allie. “To the bathroom.” Said Jessie, pushing past Allie’s legs. At five they served everybody pizza and cokes. After Allie’s dinner she got on her computer and asked the woman for the Wi-Fi password. She said ‘Admin’ and Allie suddenly typed it in. When she typed it in and went on video chat again. Nobody was on. So Allie began playing Angry Birds, Jessie began snoring along with Ben, Ken began slurping his thumb, Mr. and Mrs. Diner fell asleep, and Claire began playing Babysitting Mania on her DSI.

When they got off the plane the next day it was around two in the afternoon. “Let’s go out to eat after we bring our stuff to the house. When the car was loaded off a boat, they dumped all their bags in and took Jack out of his kennel. He went right to sleep in Allie’s lap. They began driving and Allie stared out the window. They passed many houses. They were all the same; old. Finally Mr. Diner slowed down. “Here’s our house.” Said Mr. Diner, stopping in front of a gate. He took a key and unlocked the lock on the black gate and pushed them open. Allie heard a honk and turned around and saw the moving truck. When Mr. Diner got back in he drove in. Soon a big fancy house came to view. “Wow.” Said the Diners. “Fancy isn’t it?” asked Mr. Diner. In the middle of the yard was a big old oak tree and around the house was a fence that had left over paint that was white. The house was the same as the other houses; old. Allie got out with Jack and put him on the ground. Jack went to the restroom right away. Mrs. Diner unbuckled Ken out and set him down. Ken began crawling around and sat by Jack who was now investigating the house yard. “Perfect isn’t it Allie?” asked Mr. Diner. But Allie was on the porch. She opened the door. The house looked like it hadn’t been in for over a century. There was a chandelier and dust webs hung from it. Mr. and Mrs. Diner walked in. Along came Claire, Ken, Jessie, and Ben. “Sweet, freaky house.” Said Ben, sitting his bag down. “This place is junk mom.” Said Jessie, looking at Mrs. Diner. “Oh what do you  boys know? It just needs some paint, some dusting, sweeping, mopping, curtains,” But Jessie and Ben interrupted her when a very long sigh. “Mom that’s going to take weeks!” said Allie. “I like cleaning up.” Said Claire. “You don’t even like cleaning your room.” Said Jessie. Claire was quiet. “Ok kids let’s just bring our furniture and boxes in. And in thirty minutes all the furniture men were gone, furniture was in the rooms, and the boxes were stacked on top of one another. “First things first let’s get the beds fixed.” Said Mr. Diner. And everybody fixing the beds and screwing them up. Then the boys hauled mattresses onto the beds. When they placed Allie’s down, Allie took her blanket out and made her bed. “Allie, I’m going down to Lowes to get paint, what kind of paint do you want?” asked Mrs. Diner. “Get me lime green.” Said Allie, placing her pillows on her bed. When her bed was ready Mrs. Diner was back and Allie spent the rest of the hour painting her room. Then they went out to eat at Raising Cane’s. When they got back Allie’s walls were dry and Allie painted an extra coat over it. Then she went downstairs and helped her mother mop the floors. When the floors were mopped Allie went around gathering the shoes everybody had taken off and put them in a basket and placed it next to the door. Mrs. Diner and Allie rolled a mat out in the front of the door outside. Outside, Allie swept the floor and Claire mopped it. Jessie and Ben, during this time spent their time putting furniture where their mother instructed them. Mr. Diner was helping them, Ken was taking a nap, and Mrs. Diner was putting up pots and pans. When Allie went back upstairs the walls were dry and Allie pushed her bed across the floor towards the wall. Then she pushed her desk to the other side and stacked her books on her bookshelves. She hung her clothes in the closet and fixed her window seat. She put up everything and took her phone and sat down and went to face time. Still nobody was on. Allie texted Sina and then she went downstairs. Mrs. Diner was cleaning the table. “Allie, can you put clean the counters?” asked Mrs. Diner. Allie went over and cleaned the counters and then helped Mrs. Diner cook dinner. The boys and Mr. Diner, however were hooking the TVs up. Then after dinner Allie did laundry. Then she helped her mom roll out rugs. By midnight Allie was tired but they had finished the house. Allie went to sleep quickly that night and didn’t have one problem going to sleep.

Chapter Three
The next morning Allie woke up and smelled bacon. She heard the clinking of plates and cups and she heard Cartoon Network. Allie got out of bed and went downstairs. Allie didn’t see Jessie or Ben but she did Claire, Ken, and Mr. and Mrs. Diner. “Morning Allie.” Said Mrs. Diner. “Morning.” Said Allie, she opened the sliding door. Outside there was a large backyard. There was also a bayou. “This is so beautiful.” Said Allie. She saw a tall oak tree and saw a ladder. Allie ran down into the middle of the yard and looked up. Up in the tree was a old tree house. Allie gripped the ladder and climbed it and up into the tree house. In the tree house there were windows and a little porch and a door. Allie looked around and didn’t see anything but a piece of paper. It looked like it was from a composition book. Allie took it and read it;

January 19th, 1921
Dear Reader,
By the time you read this I’ll be dead. You should notice this is a tree house by now and I should tell you something. I had many fun times with my friends in here. We sat here and play with rag dolls our mothers made us. I hope you will love this place as much as I did.
Love,
Mary Andrew
Allie took the note and put it in her pocket. Then she went down again and ran inside. Inside Mrs. Diner was flipping pancakes and Jessie and Ben were flipping through the channels. “Mom do we have any leftover boxes?” asked Allie. “Yes one is in the closet.” Said Mrs. Diner. Allie ran upstairs, grabbed the box, and ran into her room. She took some paint and a paint brush. She took a big picture of her, Sina, and Ashley and dumped them into the box. She took her furry green carpet and then she took a jewelry box. She put a flash light, matches, and a note pad. She dumped that in too. Then she ran downstairs, and out into the tree house. In the tree house she painted the walls green and turned to take the carpet out when a sticker pricked her. “Ow!!” said Allie, grabbing her foot. She took and saw a sticker. She pulled it out and then climbed out and went got a knife and a broom. Then she grabbed it and she brought it up into the tree house. With the knife she took all the stickers or blisters out of the floor and swept them out. She did the same thing to the porch. Then she laid the carpet down. She took her jewelry box and placed in a corner. Then she put the picture of her, Sina, and Ashley on a leftover nail and then looked around. It would work then she remembered her old two bing bags. And ran inside. She asked Jessie and Ben for their help and they brought the bing bags in and then left. Allie placed the bing bags on the ground of the tree house and went into her room. She saw a small table for her old tea parties. She took it and brought it into the tree house. She took her laptop, phone, I Pad, and brought it into the tree house. Then she took her breakfast and brought a plank with two holes. She took a rope and tied it to both sides and saw down and held the breakfast in her lap and pulled herself up and climbed over the railing. Then she took her breakfast and sat down and began eating in a tree house. On her phone she took pictures and sent them to Sina and Ashley. Allie ate her breakfast and began making plans with what to do with the tree house to make it easier to bring things up. First off she had made the pulley and then she thought about a bucket with a rope to put things up and down. So that got her busy, making her invention work. Finally she heard her phone ringing. Allie ran in and saw it was from Ashley with face time. Allie grabbed it and answered it. Ashley and Sina’s faces popped up. “Hey!” they said. “Hey!” said Allie, grinning. “You’re room sure is green.” Said Sina. “Oh no I found this tree house in my backyard. The backyard and tree house is pretty decent.” Said Allie. “Show us the house!” said Ashley. Allie brought the phone out on the porch and showed the house. “Wow!” she heard them say. She turned them back to her. “That’s pretty awesome Allie!” said Sina. “Yeah!” said Ashley. “I miss you guys.” Said Allie. The girls smiled. “Us too.” “ALLIE!” hollered Mrs. Diner. “Got to go.” Said Allie. “Bye Allie.” Said the girl. Allie didn’t hear from them for the rest of the day.

Chapter Four
After a few weeks after moving in Mrs. Diner went to sign the family or in this case [Allie, Jessie, Ben, and Claire] up for school and Mr. Diner decided to go to Lowes to buy some new wood for some swings and a nice barn. Every Monday Mr. Diner reminded the family after a month of school if you got good grades you got to go pick out a horse. Allie, knowing she would have no problem with this, counted down the days till the day she could buy a horse would come. Jessie and Ben, however spent their time playing Mario Kart on the game cube and watching Adult Swim every night. Claire, spent her time playing with Barbies and Baby dolls and Ken spent his time doing the thing babies always do. Mr. Diner began getting busier and busier. A few days before school started Mr. Diner decided to working on the barn since that would take a while. And since Mrs. Diner was going to work on the porch everybody went out front expect for Mr. Diner. Allie, wanted to play in her tree house like she always did. Instead she brought her phone and computer. Her I Pad was getting charged upstairs in her room. Allie heard voices and looked up. She saw a boy ride down the street on a skate board and do an olley jump. “Sweet!” hollered Jessie. She thought he had seen the boy but when she looked at Jessie he was talking about him winning a championship on his Mario Kart came on his Nintendo DSI. Allie sighed, closed her computer, and pocketed her phone. “Mom I’m going for a walk.” Said Allie. “Ok but don’t go far Al.” said Mrs. Diner. Al. Allie smirked. Despicable she was alright with it as long as her parents did call her that around her friends. Allie walked and left the front of the house and spotted the boy. He skated and turned the corner olley. Allie jogged and turned the corner. She saw the boy but he was not alone. There were thousands of boys on skateboards. And past the boys were four girls, sitting on the ground talking. Allie turned back and slid down to the ground and looked at her clothes. She was wearing blue jean shorts and a nice t-shirt that was white with brown stripes. She was wearing black sneakers too. Allie stood up and then she walked casually down the street. The boys did not notice her and Allie began to worry. Was she nothing to them? Allie walked over to the girls. Allie saw they were crowded around a Macbook watching something. “Hi.” Said Allie. “Go away Matthew.” Said one girl. Allie turned and only saw some houses. “Excuse me?” The girls all looked up. “My name is Allie, Um I’m new.” Said Allie. “Oh yeah you work for Jim!” said one girl. She stood up. “Hi I’m Alice my father works for Jim too.” She said. The three girls stood up. “And that Marla, Darla, and Sara.” Said Alice. “Hi.” Said the girls. “Um who are they?” asked Allie. The girls looked at the boys. “They call themselves the cool birds, honestly they really aren’t.” said Darla. “Yeah.” Said Sara. “And the worst part is.” Said Marla. “Is that my brother, Matthew is the leader.” Said Alice. The boy Allie saw earlier ran over. “Hey Alice, can you get me a drink of water. “You have two feet get it yourself.” She said. He ran over and grabbed it and stopped at the sight of Allie. “Who’s she?” he asked. “That’s Allie Diner, you know works with Jim?” asked Alice. “Sup? Name’s Matthew.” Allie nodded and he flipped his hair and ran back to skate more. “You’re brother and his friends are show offs.” Said Allie. “Yeah.” Said Marla, licking her lips. “But one is super cute.” Said Darla. “Oh guys no!” whined Alice. “His name is Cody.” Said Sara. “And Alice is in love with him.” Said the girls. A boy with brown hair came over. “Hi Cody.” Said Alice. “Hey Alice can you get me a water?” asked Cody. “Sure!” said Alice at once. She ran over, grabbed him a water, and tossed it to him. “Thanks.” He said. He looked at Allie. “What’s up?” he asked. “Nothing, my name’s Allie Diner. I moved down the street.” Said Allie. “Cool.” Said Cody. “Hey Cody! Come on!” hollered a boy. “Got to go.” Said Cody. He took another gulp of water and then sped off. “That’s the longest Cody’s ever talked to a girl!” said Sara. “You mean he hasn’t ever had a girlfriend?” asked Allie, watching him and his friends skate board. “Oh he has. Actually he’s had tons! But they really didn’t like him expect for this one girl in fourth grade… but,” Allie looked at Darla. “But what?” asked Allie. “She died during a car accident.” Said Alice. “Horrible!” said Allie, turning her attention to back to Cody. “Yea the whole community were bringing gifts to her parents. Cody didn’t want to go near school. Mostly the gym.” Said Marla. “Why not the gym? Don’t most guys like-“ Alice interrupted her. “Of course he loved gym! But in the gym that’s where he asked her out. And on the track…” “That’s where they first kissed.” Said Sara. “Sad, horrible…” said Allie. She didn’t know what else to say. “Hey you have a phone!” exclaimed Marla. Allie looked down at her I Phone. “Oh this? This is nothing, I’m fixing to get the white I Phone and the I Pad 2.” Said Allie. “What’s your number?” asked Darla. She had also pulled out a phone; a Verizon wireless I Phone. “Oh 228-548-3456.” Said Allie. She saw all the girls pull out their phones and began typing her number in. While they did that Allie turned her attention to Cody. But then she noticed they were sitting down across from them, drinking water, and talking. “Hey.” Said Sara. Alice was wondering off into Wonderland. “You might as well contiue your dream of dating Cody. He likes girls like you.” Said Sara. “What’s so different about me?” asked Allie. “First off, you’re rich. Plus you are pretty.” Said Marla. Allie looked at Cody. He was staring over at them. “And plus,” Allie turned her attention back to them. “He always stares at girls like that if he really likes them.” Said Darla. Alice came back into the world. And then there was a holler. “Come on guys I made lunch!” hollered a woman. The girls ran in and some of the boys ran too. But Cody took his time and gathered up his stuff. Allie texted her mom, Having lunch with friends. Then she pocketed her phone and began walking. “Hey wait!” hollered Cody. Cody came up beside Allie. “What’s your number?” asked Cody. “Um… what?” asked Allie. “Well I noticed you were well… giving numbers out to the girls and,” He looked at everybody hurrying inside. “I wanted to know yours. You know it’s a guy thing.” Allie nodded. And repeated her number. Then she raced inside.
After lunch all Allie’s friends came over to Allie’s tree house. “Ashley and Sina look nice.” Said Alice. “Yeah, they were sisters to me.” Said Allie. They were sitting down in bean bags playing Go Fish. “Hey look!” hollered Marla. The girls got up and ran over to the window. Jessie and Ben came outside. Followed by Matthew and Cody and their friends. “PULL UP THE LADDER!” said Darla. The girls ran over and pulled up the ladder. They pulled up the pulley and swings and then looked down as Cody and the guys came to the tree and looked straight up. Allie noticed Cody was staring at the bayou. “FORGET IT!” hollered the girls. The boys hooted. Jack came running out and began chasing the boys. “That looks like fun!” said the girls. They climbed down the ladder and spent the afternoon running around being chased after Jack.

Chapter Five
On the day school started Allie got up extra early. She g0t dressed in her blue jean shorts and a red shirt and brushed her hair. She put on her socks and black sneakers. Then she went downstairs. Mrs. Diner was eating, along with Claire, Jessie, and Ben. Allie sat down and ate.
When Allie arrived at school she went to homeroom. In homeroom was Cody and Matthew. When Allie sat down the teacher came in. “Welcome to a brand new year at Nashville Middle School!” said the teacher. “I’m your teacher, Mrs. Crumpet.” Allie heard people snicker at the word Crumpet. “Anyways today we will start off with our English. Now I will pass out the books. And you are to keep these books for the rest of the year!” said Mrs. Crumpet. Five minutes later everybody had a big huge English book. Mrs. Crumpet turned to the board and wrote down something. Allie noticed some kids were playing around and when Mrs. Crumpet turned around they stopped. “Work on pages 15-20 while I run out.” Said Mrs. Crumpet. And she left without another word. Allie finished her page in five minutes and Mrs. Crumpet wasn’t back yet. Allie began to worry. What had happened to Mrs. Crumpet? Allie turned and saw Cody playing with Matthew. They hadn’t even started yet! Allie looked up and closed her book. Then a paper airplane came soaring and landed on Allie’s desk. Allie picked it up and opened it. Out came a small envelope. It read; Will you go out with me?

-Cody
Allie thought for a second. She had a craving to date Cody. But what about Alice. What would she think? Allie suddenly, without thinking, circle yes and slid it back to Cody. Then the teacher came in. “I want you to remember-“ she coughed. “That cheer leading, soccer, football, and swim team try outs are today after lunch.” Coughed Mrs. Crumpet. “Time to switch.” She said. And she coughed. Allie gathered up her stuff and walked towards the door. On the way there Cody came up. For a little they were quiet when they left the room. “Well what are you trying out for?” asked Cody. ”Girls variety soccer team,” said Allie, opening her locker. “Swim team, and cheerleading.” Said Allie, turning. “I’m trying out for the boy soccer team and football.” Said Cody. “Hey Cody!” hollered Matthew. Cody turned and looked at Matthew. “Come here mate! Got something to show you!” said Matthew. “Bye Allie.” Said Cody. And Cody dashed off over to Matthew. Sara, Alice, Marla, and Darla ran over. “What’s the news?” asked Darla. “What do you mean?” asked Allie, taking out her Science Book. “We heard there was some news!” said Marla. “Ok well you guys have to swear that you won’t be mad.” Said Allie. “Swear.” Chanted the girls. “Cody and  I are going out!” said Allie. The girls cheered. “Girls no cheering! This isn’t a happy place!” said a man. And he stalked off. “Who was he?” asked Allie. “Principal Berman.” Said Sara. “Oh…” said Allie, nodding. The bell rang and the girls dashed off running off to their classes.

At lunch, Allie sat down by Sara, Marla, and Darla. Cody watched as Cody sat down by her and Matthew sit down by Darla. Matthew put his arm around Darla. “So how about it babe?” asked Darla. “Uh no way.” Said Darla. She grabbed her  trey and Sara, Marla, and Darla left. “I’m sorry Cody… but I kind of need to go to them.” Said Allie, standing and taking her trey. “Bye.” Said Cody, pounding his fist. Allie sat down by Sara, Marla, and Darla a couple of tables away from Cody and Matthew.
After the bell rang Allie ran off to the try outs. First she went to soccer try outs. “First, we will go by dribbling the ball and shooting into the goal. Go!” and the coach blew the whistle. Allie took her ball away and shot it into the goal. Followed by many other girls. “Now we shall dribble away from our oppents.” Said the coach. Boys came out onto the field. Allie grimaced and tightened her fist. The coach blew the whistle and Allie took off. The boys noticed the first move and ran towards Allie. Allie came to the first boy and dribbled around him. He turned and came after her. Allie dribbled around boys and then one came where he was too big. Allie acted like going to the left. And when he moved to the left Allie, twirled and went to the right. Then she came to the goalie. He moved to the left. Allie sneered and acted like she was going to the right. The goalie dove to the right and Allie shot to the left corner. “Defense!” hollered the coach, blowing his whistle. The boys and girls switched. Allie came to defense. A boy came and Allie kicked it out of balance. Then when it was Allie’s turn as goalie she blocked ten goals. The last one got by her. At the end the coach called them together. “Ok now there’s two things. One there is the one team that will be team members and play at games. The other one will not play in games but will fill in with a player is out or sick.” Said the coach. “For the ones that will play in games.” He grabbed shirts. “Diner!” he barked. He tossed her a shirt. “Good job mate.” Said the coach, patting Allie on the back. Allie grinned and walked towards the swimming pool. At the swimming pool  the coach blew a whistle and everybody dove in. “Hello coach.” Said Allie, placing her soccer shirt down. “Hello Allie. Here’s a bathing suit.” Said the coach, tossing Allie a navy blue swim suit. Allie went into the gym bathroom, changed, and then went to swim. Allie climbed on the first diving board and many others joined. “When I blow my whistle you will swim hundred yard free style.” Said the coach. She blew her whistle and Allie dove in followed by others and kicked to the surface. Then she came to the surface and began swimming free style. After her third round the coach said, “Everybody out of the water.” Everybody climbed out. “Now Allie, from what I heard you’re pretty good at swimming.” Said the coach. Allie nodded. “Ok, now Diner I want you to dive a nice froggy dive into the water.” Said the coach. She blew her whistle and Allie dove in. She felt the water hit her skin, and knowing water hurt her eyes, opened her eyes. It didn’t hurt. Allie did froggy stroke up to the surface and took a deep breath. “Not bad for a Chicago girl!” hollered the coach. She was grinning and clapping. At the end the coach gave Allie a bathing suit. Allie smiled and everybody went to take showers. After Allie changed into her shorts she headed over to the football field. Out on the field Cody was practicing football. He ran and kicked. On the back it said ‘9’ Allie grimaced and ran over to the cheer leaders. “Ok, now first off girls I want you to do splits.” Said the coach. Allie did a split but few girls could not. They were kicked out. “Now do a cart wheel.” Said the coach. Allie and eleven girls did cart wheels. Five girls were kicked out. “Back flip.” Said the coach. Allie did a back flip. Four girls left. “Well girls, here you go.” Said the coach, tossing some uniforms. Allie looked at them. There were red with black words. It said; Bulls Allie stuffed them into her bag and smiled at the coach. “Well that’s all for today. Now you might want to go get your homework from your locker and that’s all.” Said the cheering coach. Allie headed to her locker, bag in hand, and swung open her locker door. There was bang and a yell. Allie immeadtly closed the door. She saw Cody, holding his forehead. “Oh Cody! I’m… I’m so sorry! I didn’t-“ Cody held up a hand. Allie closed her eyes. She was ready for the words ‘We are over’ but instead Cody said, “It’s alright.” Allie opened her eyes. “Really?” asked Allie. “Sure…” said Cody. “Oh thanks!” said Allie. She opened her locker again and grabbed her binder and took her book bag out. Allie’s phone began to flash. Allie grabbed it. It said Call from Mom. “Sorry I got to take this.” Said Allie. She grinned and answered. “Hello?” “Hey Allie!” “Hi Mom.” “Guess what daddy just got you?” “What?” “The I Pad 2 and he got you the white I Phone!” said Mrs. Diner. “Great Mom, now I got to go. I got to get on the bus.” Said Allie. “The bus?!” hollered Mrs. Diner. “THE BUS SHOULD BE LEAVING IN TWO MINUTES!” Allie hung up. And threw her stuff in her bag. Then she locked her locker and kissed Cody on the cheek. “Bye.” Said Allie. Then she began running. Suddenly her science book fell out. Allie ran back, grabbed it and began running. “WAIT!” hollered Allie. The teachers stopped giving the signal to go. Allie ran to bus 5350 and got on. She handed the bus driver her address. “Go on.” Said the bus driver. And she closed the door. Allie made her way to the back seat and sat down. Then she shoved her book into her bag and waited to arrive at her house.

Chapter Six
“So how was school?” asked Mrs. Diner. Allie had plopped her bag on the sofa. “Great. I made all the teams.” Said Allie. She opened the fridge and grabbed a Root Beer. “What have you been doing?” asked Allie. Mrs. Diner was wearing a brownish, whitish apron. Her hair was in a bun and she was wearing shorts. “Gardening.” Said Mrs. Diner. Allie drank some of her Root Beer. “Good gardening.” Said Allie. She finished her Root Beer and then grabbed her I Pad 2, her I Phone, and her white I Phone and went outside to her tree house. Allie put it in the pulley and pulled it up, hoisted it out and went inside the tree house. Allie began with her I Phone and began adding everything. Then for her I Pads and then she sat down and wondered what to do. Suddenly she ran inside, and sent her I Pad to Ashley and her I Phone to Sina. They would want them. When Allie came in she did her homework and then passed out on the couch.
When Allie woke up  she got a text message; if you want us to still be your friend, break up with Cody. Allie had no idea what the problem was so she rode over to Alice’s house. Cody and Matthew were skate boarding. “Hey what’s with this message?” asked Allie, showing the message to her friends. “Cody’s being more of a jerk every second!” said Marla, standing up. “Yeah he shoved me on the ground and said ‘Allie likes me more than you.’ And then left!” said Darla. “And he was smooching Gracie Heavens.” Said Alice. “You have no proof.” Said Allie. “Allie come on are you going to believe us or what?” asked Sara. “No, I’m going to believe Cody.” The girls gasped and then Alice said, “Well give you three days Allie Diner. And if you don’t break up with Cody you can talk to us but we will ignore you.” Said Alice and the girls walked away. “Hey.” Allie turned. Cody was jogging over. “Hey Cody.” Said Allie. “Hey what were they talking about?” asked Cody. “Something about you smooching Gracie Heavens.” Said Allie. Gracie Heavens road past them. “Oh… Gracie Heavens huh?” asked Cody, unwrapping his arm from Allie and staring at Gracie. “Yea…” said Allie. “That’s stupid!” said Cody. “Come on, let’s go.” Said Allie. They walked inside. “Yeah… let’s go.” Said Cody.
The next day at school Allie bumped into Gracie Heavens. “Oh… hi I’m G-Gracie.” Said Gracie. “Hi Allie.” Said Allie, helping her up. “Look I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to do what I did.” Said Gracie. “Do what?” asked Allie, grabbing her books. “Say yes to Cody’s question of going out when ya’ll were dating.” Allie froze. “See I guess I kind of liked Cody but then I heard ya’ll were dating-“ But the rest Allie did hear. Behind Gracie stood Cody his arm around the other girl. He looked like he was flirting! “See I never meant for that to happen.” Said Gracie. “Look at Cody.” Said Allie. Gracie turned and gasped. Cody had kissed the girl on the cheek. “CHEATER!” shouted Allie and Gracie. “A-Allie… G-Gracie!” said Cody. “Get ready for our hundredth day kiss.” Said the girl and she walked away. “W-What are you guys doing here?” asked Cody. “To do this!” said Gracie, stomping on his foot with her heel. “AND THIS!” hollered Allie. She slapped Cody and it echoed. He fell to the floor. Allie’s friends came running over. “Come on let’s ditch.” Said Alice. Allie nodded. “Allie Diner, Cody-“ said Allie, lifting up Cody’s face. “Has back and,” she dropped his face. “Has just broken up with you! Because she believes her friends more!” said Allie, grabbing her friends hands. Cody got up and ran over to his friends. “Good job Allie!” said the girls. They went to their lockers and out slid a note from Allie’s locker.
