Allie Brocks #1

Allie
By: Emma Ladner

Chapter One: The Phone Call
“You’re disgusting!” laughed Allie Brocks. Allie Brocks was quiet a beautiful girl for her time limit. And at thirteen Allie Brocks was officially the most beautiful girl in town. Mr. Brocks, was a banker, thinking he was in charge of his whole entire destiny. And his destiny was to take charge of the bank. Mrs. Parker was the owner of tons of tailor shops around town. She was known to have the best clothes, quilts, pillows, and mattresses known to mankind in the town. Believe it or not Allie Brocks did not have a boyfriend. She had a brother and sisters only. Allie Brock’s brother, Ben, was ten years old. Ben had Mr. Brocks lime green eyes and his mother’s brown hair. But Allie had the lime green eyes and her father’s blond hair. Allie’s sister, Claire, was eight years. She had brown hair and black eyes. Then her youngest sister, Maria, was three years old. She looked like Allie. Allie bit into a peanut butter n’ jelly sandwich. Her best friend, Stella Brocks, sat beside her on Stella’s porch. Stella wasn’t the only child, like Allie. She had two sisters and a brother that were three years younger then her like Ben. “Girls time to come inside, it’s getting dark.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie and Stella walked inside Stella’s house. Stella’s little brother, Luke, had the biggest crush on Allie. That didn’t take anybody by surprise. Luke was sitting on the couch peeking over the head board. “Hi Luke.” Said Allie, waving her hand at him. Luke went behind the couch again. Allie and Stella laughed. “Allie your mother is outside waiting for you at home. You’re welcome to spend the night.” Said Mrs. Parker, wiping her hands on her apron. “Thanks Mrs. Parker.” Said Allie. “Come on Stella.” Said Allie. Allie and Stella dashed outside and when they left Luke was so happy that he went and asked if he could have two of his friends spend the night.
“Yes Allie?” asked Mrs. Brocks. “Stella wants to know if I can spend the night.” Said Allie. “I guess.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie and Stella started running back to Stella’s house when they stopped. “Oh no Nick and Kevin.” Said Stella. They dropped behind Stella’s rose bush. “What are they doing here?” asked Allie. “I don’t know but I hope that the thing I feel isn’t true.” Said Stella. The girls went inside Stella’s house to see Luke, Kevin, and Nick running up the stairs two by two. Allie dropped her bag on the staircase. “Hey Mom, what’s Kevin and Nick doing here?” asked Stella. “I let Luke have some friends over to stay.” Said Mrs. Parker. “The night?” asked Stella. “Yes.” Said Mrs. Parker, looking up. “Is that a problem?” Stella shook her head. “No, come on Allie just grab your bag.” Said Allie. Allie grabbed her bag and went up the stairs with Stella. Inside Stella’s room Stella closed the door. “My god, my mom doesn’t understand what’s going to happen!” said Stella, slamming herself on her bed. Allie sat down and set her bag on the bed. She laid down and looked at Stella. Her eyes were closed. Stella’s home phone rang. “Should I get it?” asked Allie. Stella shrugged. “Go ahead.” She said. And closed her eyes again. Allie got up and picked up the phone. “Hello?” asked Allie. Hey is this the Parker’s Resident?” “Um… yes.” “Is Stella Parker over with Allie Brocks?” “Yes, this is Allie Parker speaking.” Said Allie sitting down. “Hey Allie it’s Cody Simmons.”  Allie’s eyes widened. “Who is it?” asked Stella. “Cody Simmons.” Stella sat up. “Shut up!” she said. “He’s on the phone wanting to talk to me!” said Allie. Stella came over. “Hi Cody.” “Hey I wanted to ask when school starts?” “It already started.” “Also um, are you going to the festival tomomrrow?” “Yes…” “Well I wanted to know if you would come with me.” “Um… sure. Excuse me for a second.” Said Allie. Allie and Stella went inside the bathroom to scream. Luke, Kevin, and Nick however had a different plan. Luke went over and picked up the phone. “Hello?” asked Luke. “Hi who is this?” “Uh… nobody.” “Luke Parker? Is that you and by the sounds of that breath I can tell Nick and Kevin are by you. Where is Allie?” “Allie’s going with me to the festival…” “Allie Parker?” “Yes.” “Go to the festival with you?” “Yes.” “That’s retarded dude that’s a total lie.” The bathroom door opened. “Bye.” Said Luke. And his friends dashed out of the room. Allie and Stella came back in and Allie picked up the phone. “So am I going to meet you there or what?” asked Allie. “Well the cheerleaders and the football players get a ride in a little kind of… truck I suppose. And I was wondering if you would sit by me.” “Oh that would be wonderful Cody!” said Allie. “Ok bye Allie.” “Bye.” Allie hugged Stella and Stella sat straight. “Oh my gosh you are so lucky! If only James would ask me to the festival.” Said Stella. “Maybe he will Stella!” said Allie. “Girls hamburgers are ready!” h0llered Mrs. Parker. Stella opened the door. “Well be down in a little!” hollered Stella. “Oh my gosh Allie I have the perfect outfit for you to wear to the festival!” said Stella. Stella went in her closet and came out with a pink dress with white polka dots. Along with white church shoes. “Stella aren’t we going to be wearing our uniforms?” asked Allie. “Well yeah but you can change out of it there!” said Stella. I guess…” said Allie, overlooking the dress. “Girls you’re hamburgers are getting cold!” hollered Mrs. Parker. “Coming!” hollered Stella. “Come on Allie!” said Stella and they went downstairs.

“You’re dad makes the best hamburgers Stella.” Said Allie. “Yea but didn’t you see Nick, Kevin, and Luke?” asked Stella. “No.” said Allie, walking upstairs beside Stella. “Well they were all staring at you.” Said Stella. “Stella since when has that surprised you?” asked Allie. “I don’t know.” Said Stella. “The moment I realized my brother had a crush on my best friend!” Allie rolled her eyes and they went upstairs into Stella’s room. “Cody’s birthday is coming up. From what he says it is a pool party.” Said Stella. “That’s nice.” Said Allie. Stella closed her bedroom door and locked it. Allie took off her dress and put on her nightgown. Stella put on a  nightgown too and the girls sat down on Stella’s bed. “Anyways what if you guys start going out?” asked Stella. “It’s not possible there’s Kim and Ashlyn!” said Allie. “Kim and Ashlyn?! There’s no way they’ll win against you! Everybody thinks you’re pretty Allie.” Said Stella. “And Cody would probably be honored to date you.” Luke opened the door and walked up to Allie. “I’m coming with you.” He said. “What?” asked Allie. “A girl like you needs predication.” Said Luke. “Forget it Luke.” Said Allie. “Ha, like that’s going to stop him.” Said Stella. “Wait what are you doing in my room?” asked Stella. “Out!! Out! Out! OUT!!” hollered Stella. “Ok… ok… geesh, don’t get your panties in a bunch.” Said Luke, walking out. Stella slammed the door. “Wasn’t you door locked?” asked Allie. “Yea… wait my mom’s key.” Said Stella. She opened the door and walked to Luke’s room and banged on the door. Allie came behind her. Luke opened the door his friends were behind him playing poker on Luke’s floor. Allie gasped. Luke’s clothes were in a heap. His toys on the ground. His bed was messed up and his closet clothes and shoes were all over the floor. “What?” he asked. “Give me the key.” Said Stella. “I don’t have it Mom does.” Said Luke. “Give me the key!” said Stella. “I don’t have it.” Said Luke. “Mom!” hollered Stella, marching downstairs. Allie stood there looking at Luke’s room, mouth hanging open. “I know,” said Luke. Allie looked down. “What?” she asked. “You can’t get enough of my cuteness.” Allie pushed him into his room and closed the door.

Chapter Two: The Ferris Wheel Accident
The next day when the sun was high, Allie and Stella woke up to the sound of Stella’s neighbor’s lawn mower. Luke, Kevin, and Nick were playing video games down the hall. Mr. Parker had left for work and Mrs. Parker was downstairs cooking breakfast. Stella and Allie looked at the clock; 12:00 pm. “We slept in.” said Allie, looking at Stella. “No we didn’t the fair doesn’t start till 1:30 and we have to eat, get dressed, do our hair, brush our teeth, put stuff in our purses and Oh my god it’s 12:01! We wasted a minute Allie come on!” said Stella, hoping out of Stella’s bed. Allie opened her bag and took out her cheerleading outfit and shoved it on herself. She put on some socks and some shoes and then she put her hair in a pony-tail. Stella dressed in the same, just putting her hair up in ping-tails. Then the girls went downstairs. Mrs. Parker fed them eggs and bacon and they drank some milk. Then they went upstairs brushed their teeth and got their bags set. Then they went downstairs and dashed into Mrs. Parker’s station wagon. Mrs. Parker came out and Luke, Kevin, and Nick followed her and they drove to the truck the cheerleaders and football players were to sit in. Allie and Stella got out and looked around. There was tons of trucks. And already some cheerleaders were sitting in trucks giggling about the nearby boys. Boys, on the other hand were tossing each other a football. Parents were standing under the shade of a giant oak tree and coaches were trying to find the kids. “Where do you suggest Cody is?” asked Stella. “I have no idea.” Said Allie. “Hey.” Said a voice. Allie and Stella turned around to see the handsome and most charming Cody Simmons. “Hi Cody.” Said Allie. Stella waved and went to join a crowd of cheerleaders over by the stands. At first Cody and Allie said nothing to each other until the coach yelled, “Get in the trucks cheer leaders and football players!” Cody and Allie looked at the coach. “So where do you want to sit?” “I guess in Truck #7.” Said Allie. Cody and Allie walked to Truck #7 and Cody stopped. “Um how about five?” asked Cody. “Why?” asked Allie. “I thought you didn’t care.” Said Cody. “Good point Cody.” Said Allie, grinning. Cody led Allie away from truck seven and lifted her into truck five. Then he climbed in beside her. Football players had their arms around girls. Allie looked down and over at Cody’s shoes. He was wearing cleats. Hopefully he would realize what was going on. Allie looked at Cody but he was talking to his friend and holding a football. Allie sighed and put her chins in her hands. For the first fifteen minutes on the truck the coaches were checking to see if everybody was on. Some were and some weren’t. So they had to wait longer. Cody soon had a group of his buds surrounding him. Every other cheerleader had a football player beside them. Allie sighed and waited. At 1:30 the trucks began starting up. Allie looked over at Cody. His blond hair was all floppy and his blue eyes were staring at his group of friends. The ball was now in another guy’s hand. A one with black hair and brown eyes. All the guys were talking about Cody’s upcoming birthday party. Everyone of them were saying it would be decent. “Why won’t you talk to me?” grumbled Allie to herself. The trucks launched and began driving. Allie soon was beginning to sweat. She was hot and she didn’t feel too good. Allie was beginning to feel like she was going to be sick and then everything turned yellow. Cody’s hair was yellower then everything else. Allie heard one person scream, “Look!” And then Allie tumbled. Her eyes were closed.

When Allie woke up she was in a tent on a small mat. It was raining outside and a group of people were inside the tent. There was thunder and it was silent. Allie sat up and heard footsteps. She felt a hand on her shoulder and Allie turned she saw Stella. “What, what happened?” asked Allie. “You over heated.” Said Stella. Cody came running over. “Oh god, Allie are you alright?” A coach came in. “Okay girls run to the bathroom!” said the coach. Cody and Stella helped Allie up and Stella and Allie ran out of the tent into the pouring rain. Allie saw that a lot of girls were holding umbrellas including Stella. Stella was also holding Allie’s bag, filled with the clothes, and hair brush. When they entered the bathroom nearby Allie took her bag and went into a stall. She put on the dress and stuffed her cheerleading outfit into the bag. She took off the shoes and put on the church shoes. Then she came out of the stall and combed her hair while looking in the mirror. When every girl was out Stella and Allie ran across the yard again with an umbrella. When they came into a tent just when Cody was about to leave he kissed Allie on the cheek and ran out into the courtyard. Allie sat there on the ground for a couple of minutes and when Cody came back he sat beside her with his arm around her. Stella, however, sat over by her crush James. Who also had his arm around her. Stella had her head against his shoulder. Allie looked at Cody who was staring outside in the rain and then leaned her head on his shoulder. He looked at her and then smiled. Allie grinned.
When the rain stopped it was around tree in the afternoon. Everybody got up and went outside to celebrate the fair. Cody and Allie went up to one stand where you had to toss rings on top of bottles. Cody won her a stuffed lion and they went over to other stands. They got food and rode so many rides and at 8:00 the sun began to set. Cody took Allie’s hand and led her over to the Ferris wheel. Allie sat beside Cody and he put his arm around her and as they began going up Cody looked at Allie. “You’re great at football Cody.” Said Allie. “You’re great at cheerleading.” Said Cody. “Not as good as Ashlyn.” Said Allie. “Ashlyn, man she’s nothing!” Allie and Cody laughed and looked each other in the eyes. As they leaned into kiss the Ferris wheel stopped. “What’s wrong? What’s happening?” asked Allie. She walked over to the gate and leaned over and looked down. Not knowing the gate was a push upon door the door opened and Allie tumbled. She happened to grab onto the carriage she had been in. She screamed. Cody ran over and grabbed Allie’s right hand. “Allie give me your other hand!” said Cody. “I’m going to fall!” wailed Allie. “ALLIE!” yelled a voice. Stella looked down and saw Stella standing in line by James. She was looking up horrified had her best friend. She began cutting in front of people yelling, “ALLIE!” Allie looked up into Cody’s blue eyes. “Give me your hand Allie!” he said. “I’m scared I’m going to fall. “Come on you have to trust me on this one!” said Cody. “ALLIE! HOLD ON!” screamed Stella. Allie looked down and saw Stella talking to one of the guards, still staring at Allie. Allie looked up at Cody. “Just give me your hand and I’ll pull you up!” said Cody. Allie closed her eyes and let go of the carriage and swung her arm up and grabbed onto Cody. Cody, not expecting her to grab on, fell and they both began tumbling down. Allie was screaming and crying. She had both her eyes closed. She heard everybody screaming and Stella screaming loudest. Allie heard Cody yelling, “HELP!” Allie closed her eyes and seconds later she hit something and passed out.

When Allie woke up she was at home in her bed. She was still in the same clothes. She looked around her room. It had flowers and get well cards. There were candy and stuffed animals. “About time you woke up sweet heart.” Said Mrs. Brocks. “Mom, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at work?” asked Allie. “I took a couple of days off to make sure you were alright.” Said Mrs. Brocks, holding Allie. “Where’s Stella and Cody?” asked Allie. “Stella and Cody have been visiting for five days now.” said Mrs. Parker. “When can I go back to school?” asked Allie. “Hopefully by tomommrow.” Said Mrs. Brocks. “Now I’ll bring you breakfast. But you lay down first.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie laid down. “And it’s hard to believe you took your father’s hair.” Said Mrs. Brocks, leaving the room.

Chapter Three: Divorce
The following day when it turned six Allie woke up. The sun was rising and Allie lay in bed. Her bedroom door was edged open and as Allie laid up in her bed she saw her little sister, Claire standing there. “What is it Claire?” asked Allie, yawning. “Can I come in?” asked Claire. “Sure I guess.” Said Allie. Claire swung the door open and read over to her bed. “Mommy and Daddy are yelling.” Said Claire. “You ready for school?” asked Allie, changing the subject. “I guess but do you think Mrs. Coraline will really like me?” asked Claire. “I believe so.” Said Allie. “Where’s Maria going to go?” asked Claire. “To the day care center of course! You can’t expect her to say here alone!” said Allie. Claire nodded. Ben came into the doorway and flipped on the lights. “Yo Worm brains come on, breakfast is ready.” And Ben left. Allie and Claire went downstairs to the kitchen. Mr. Brocks was driving away in his car to his job and Mrs. Brocks was ready to go tailor. She served some pancakes and when Allie finished Allie went upstairs. She looked inside her closet. Allie picked out a nice blue shirt with blue jean shorts and then she put on some shoes and brushed her hair and teeth. When Allie went downstairs with her book bag Mrs. Brocks was dressed  in a nice dress. “Allie make sure Claire gets to school.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie nodded. Claire came down. “Now go on!” said Mrs. Brocks. Allie and Claire dashed across the yard and climbed onto the bus to go to school.

As Allie lay sleeping she heard a thud. Allie woke up and looked around it was dark but she could hear yelling. Allie got out of bed and walked to the door. She opened the door and tip-toed to the staircase and saw her parents downstairs. “You shut up!” said Mrs. Brocks. “I’m tired of you Madison! You’re always stuck up about everything!” said Mr. Brocks. “You better shut up!” said Mrs. Brocks. “You better be quiet or else I’m going to slap you!” said Mr. Brocks. “Well since I bought this house,” said Mrs. Brocks. “You shut up Madison! Don’t you dare say it!” said Mr. Brocks. “Then we are over!” There was complete silence down in the kitchen. “FINE!” said Mr. Brocks. He marched upstairs. Allie ran and ducked behind the hall door. Mr. Brocks went into his bedroom and he came out carrying some suitcases. “DON’T YOU EVER COME BACK!” hollered Mrs. Brocks. “You can count on it!” hollered Mr. Brocks, slamming the door. Allie was quiet surprised that hadn’t awaken Claire or Maria. Allie ran into her bedroom and closed the door. She heard her mother come upstairs. Allie threw herself under her covers and closed her eyes. She saw light pour in and she heard Mrs. Brocks sigh and close the door. Allie opened her eyes and then ran over to the window. Mr. Brocks was taking his suitcase and shoving it into the car. Allie sat at her window seat staring at her father. Mr. Brocks went over to the driver’s seat and climbed in. He started the car and backed out. Allie sat there and watched the car drive out of the neighborhood and disasspeared. Allie sat there and then Allie heard the front door open and close. And out into the front yard appeared Mrs. Brocks. “HENRY!” she hollered. She stood in the front yard and then came back in. Allie heard her footsteps go to Mrs. Brock’s door and then heard it slammed. Allie sat down staring at the night time sky. Why God would you let this happen? Is this part our your part for my life or what? Allie heard her bedroom door. She turned around and saw Claire in the doorway. “Come on Claire.” Said Allie. Claire went over. “I went into mama’s room. Where’s daddy at? I heard slamming and yelling.” Said Claire. “It’s nothing.” Said Allie. Claire sat by Allie and looked out at the night time sky. The door opened again and Maria stood there. “Come on.” Said Allie. Maria waddled over and climbed into Allie’s lap. “Ma… Ma… See.” Said Maria. Allie looked in the doorway and saw Mrs. Brocks standing there. “I guessed you girls heard me.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie, and Claire nodded. Maria just ran over to Mrs. Brocks. Mrs. Brocks picked Maria up and walked over. “I’m so sorry girls.” Said Mrs. Brocks, kissing the girls foreheads. “Come on girls time to go to bed anyways.” Said Mrs. Brocks, taking Claire’s hand. She winked at Allie and went out of the room. Allie laid down in bed and curled up in a ball. Dear god, please don’t let my parents be single. Let them get into a relationship and god please don’t hurt anything. Let it be as it is. Amen. Allie closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Chapter Four: New Boys
Allie’s dream was really odd that night. It was kind of what seemed to be like a sign. That night this is what Allie dreamed;

Allie was walking to school. “Hey dork face!” Allie turned around and saw two boys standing there. Holding a beagle puppy. “I saw this mutt walking around the street. Maybe you both should go into the pound!” He laughed and threw the puppy. Allie ran over and caught the puppy. The boys laughed and rode to school. Allie turned around a saw a bus honking and driving towards her. It got closer and closer and then-

“Allie wake up!” hollered Ben. Allie opened her eyes. And thumped him on the head. “Oww! Did, did you just thump me?” asked Ben. “You tell me.” Said Allie, sitting up. “Now get out of my room moron!” Ben ran out of Allie’s room. Allie got dressed in blue jeans and put on a navy shirt. Then she tied on some sneakers. Then she brushed her hair. When she went down Allie ate her breakfast then went up, grabbed her bag and brushed her teeth and went down to the bus stop with Ben and Claire. But another kid walked up to the bus stop. A boy Allie had never seen before. “Hi.” He said. “Hi.” Allie replied. “Name’s Zack.” Said the boy. “Allie Parker.” Said Allie. “Yeah I’ve heard of you.” Said Zack. Allie giggled. “It’ll come to mind.” Said Allie, grinning. By the time the bus pulled up Allie and Zack had learned some things about each other. Allie sat down in a seat and Zack sat by some boys way in the back. When Stella climbed on Allie told her all about Zack. “Zack, wow! But what about Cody Allie?!” asked Stella. Allie had completely forgotten about Cody. “Well a girl can I have two crushes right?” asked Allie. “Yeah but…” Stella was silent because they had gotten to school. When Stella and Allie hopped off the bus Zack ran past them. “He looks upset.” Said Stella, watching Zack zoom inside. Allie nodded. “Brocks! Parker!” barked the bus driver. Allie and Stella turned around. The bus driver tossed them their book bags and then drove away. “Isn’t he strange?” asked Allie. “The strangest!” said Stella. The girls laughed and walked into school.

Since Stella and Allie didn’t have the same classes in first period Allie made her way to her locker and opened her locker. Then she took out her science books and closed her locker. When she got to her first teacher she sat down at her desk. Allie’s teacher introduced a new student named ‘Thomas’. Allie gasped. He had the same exact face as the one in her dream! He sneered at Allie. And then walked to his seat. Whenever school was over Allie, Stella, and Zack climbed on the bus. “Zack what was wrong with you this morning?” asked Allie. “Oh me? Nothing…” said Zack. “There was something wrong with you Zack.” Said Stella. “And I ask who are you?” asked Zack. “I’m Stella, Allie’s official best friend.” Said Stella, strongly. “We’ll watch your mouth missy.” Said Zack. Stella and Zack sneered at each other. “Come on Zack what was wrong?” asked Allie. “Nothing!” said Zack. The bus slowed down. “Parker, Stella!” said the bus driver. “Why doesn’t he just say our names?” Stella whispered. She grabbed our bag and went off the bus. Zack switched seats and sat by Allie. “You’re friend is annoying.” Said Zack. Allie stared at him then laughed. When they got off the bus Claire followed, followed by Ben and his bud Jackson. Jackson’s parents were working that day so he had to stay with them. Zack walked to his house which was next door and Allie, Claire, Ben, and Jackson walked home. Mrs. Brocks was in the kitchen fixing a little snack and Maria sat on the ground chewing on things and then turned around. With Mrs. Brock’s pregnant and only a week away from having the newest baby girl everything wasn’t going so well. When Jackson walked in Ben and Jackson ran up to Ben’s room. Claire went over  to Maria and began drawing. And Allie walked into the kitchen. “Allie, it’s your turn to take out the trash.” Said Mrs. Brocks. “Okay Mom.” Said Allie, hosting the trash bag off the ground and walking outside. The neighborhood was quiet all expect the sounds coming from Zack’s yard. Allie walked, placed the trash bag in the trash can and went over to Zack’s. Zack was crying. There was a big hole under an oak tree and what looked like Zack’s mother carried out a small dog. Several little puppies followed, barking. Zack’s mother buried the small dog and then Zack and her cried. Then they walked inside. The puppies following them. Allie got off the fence and as she walked across the street she heard Zack’s door open. “Hey!” he hollered. Allie turned around. Zack was jogging over to her. “What?” Allie asked. “My dog just died and we are giving away some puppies tomommrow. Can you help?” asked Zack. Allie feeling selfish said, “And what’s in it for me?” “Well you can get the first look at the puppies,” said Zack. “So what?” asked Allie. “You didn’t let me finish. Anyways you can pick which dog you want.” Said Zack. “I’ll have to ask. “Okay but make sure you tell me at the bus stop tomommrow.” Said Zack. “Ok Zack, bye.” Said Allie. And Allie jogged inside. Jackson, Claire, Ben, and Maria all sat at the bar. “Hey Mom can I get a pet?” asked Ben. “No you are too young.” Said Mrs. Brocks. “Hey Mom can I get a puppy?” asked Allie. “Yes you are older enough.” Said Mrs. Brocks. “WHAT?!” hollered Ben. “Ben Henry Brocks you shush up!” said Mrs. Brocks. “Mom watch the mood.” Said Allie. “Yes you are right. But why did you all of the sudden want a pet?” asked Mrs. Brocks. “A boy named Zack is asking if I want a cocker spaniel puppy for free.” Said Allie. “Perfect!” said Mrs. Brocks. “Wait you mean that guy you have the looks for?” asked Ben. “No.” said Allie. “Oh that boy at the bus stop?” asked Ben. Allie nodded. “Yeah booger boy.” Said Ben, laughing. “Shut up Ben.” Said Allie. Ben grinned.

Chapter Five: The New Puppy
The next day at the bus stop Allie told everybody the news.
When Allie got off the bus she and Zack ran over to Zack’s house. About a dozen cocker spaniel puppies were curled up in balls. But they were separated into two beds. “This half is girls,” said Zack, pointing to the left. “This half is boys.” Pointing to the left. “The girl wait why is this one so small?” asked Allie, pointing at one puppy. “She’s the runt. Barely anybody will want her.” Said Zack. “I’ll have her.” Said Allie. She pick up the puppy. The puppy was shivering. “She’s cold.” Said Allie. “Yeah, she’s the runt remember?” asked Zack, handing Allie a pinkish collar. Allie put it on the puppy. “Thanks Zack.” Said Allie. Zack shrugged and Allie not knowing what she was doing, leaned in and kissed Zack right on the cheek! Then she walked up cradling the puppy. When she got home she went straight to her room and took her old baby basket. She took her baby blankets and stuffed it all around inside the basket making a pallet. Then she laid the puppy inside. The puppy went straight to sleep.
When Allie got home the next day she opened the door. The puppy was barking from the basket. Allie ran over. “Hello Angel.” Said Allie. Angel is what she had named the puppy. Angel barked and licked Allie’s face. Allie spent the rest of the afternoon up inside her bedroom. First she sat Angel down on her window seat. While Angel was up on the window sill barking at passing buggies Allie sewed a tiny little hat and little booties. When she finished she put it on Angel. Angel looked like a teddy bear! Allie walked over to her bed and  pulled something out from under. She began searching but couldn’t find it. She took a couple of boxes out of the closet and found tons of things; a baby doll pillow, Allie’s old baby bottle, a little blanket toy thingy, and what she had been looking for; a little puppy night light. She pulled the night light in and put the baby doll pillow in. then she put the toy thingy in and then she went downstairs. Mrs. Brocks was downstairs writing a letter for some friend of her’s in Boston. She filled the bottle with milk and then hurried upstairs. When she opened the door Angel ran out of the room. “Angel no!” said Allie. Angel stopped at the beginning of the staircase and hopped down one. Allie ran and tripped on a shoe. Angel was all the way down and was running around in the living room! “Angel come back!” hollered Allie. Maria, Claire, and Ben all stood at the top of the stairs watching. Angel ran under a couch and stayed under for a while. “Ben get down here!” hollered Allie. Ben ran downstairs. “What?” he asked. “Help me move the couch.” Said Allie, standing up. “And why should I do-“ Allie rolled her eyes. “I’ll give you ice cream.” Said Allie. “Okay.” Ben grabbed the side of the couch and Allie and him dragged it away. Mrs. Brocks picked up Angel. “Angel!” said Allie, grabbing the puppy. Angel was shivering. Allie ran upstairs and wrapped Angel up in a towel the puppy soon stopped shivering and just drank from the bottle. And soon fell asleep.

Chapter Six: The Dream comes true
One day Allie woke up. Only a few more days until the girl would arrive. Allie got out of bed and dressed in skinny jeans, a tank top, and sneakers. Then she ate breakfast, brushed her teeth and hair and left. Allie decided to walk today. Today Stella was out sick. Allie began walking down the street and when she was halfway there she heard a voice. “Hey dork face!” Allie turned around to see Thomas. “I saw this mutt walking around maybe you should both go to the pound!” said Thomas. “You shut up Thomas.” Said Allie. Thomas threw the beagle puppy and Allie ran into the street and caught the puppy. There was a honk. Allie turned there was a bus coming straight towards her! Suddenly felt herself being picked up and carried to the side walk. Allie was set down on the side walk. When she looked up she saw Zack. “Allie!” said Cody, running towards Allie. He helped Allie up. “Look dude thanks for saving Al.” said Cody. “Are you alright?” asked Cody. “Yes but,” Allie pushed past him and she saw Zack skating away on his skate board. “Thank you!” hollered Allie. Zack nodded. Allie heard a shout. “My dog!” Allie turned to see an old woman running over. “MY DARLING!” said the woman grabbing the dog. She thumbed Allie on the head. “Ow what the heck was that for?”  asked Allie. “How dare you kidnap my dog!” she prompted and pushed Allie down. Cody caught her and the lady walked away holding the beagle. Cody lifted her up. “Thanks… Cody.” Said Allie.

After school that day Allie went home. Zack was outside playing football. “Hey Zack!” Allie hollered. She ran over to Zack. “Thank you for saving me today.” Said Allie. “Er, Welcome?” said Zack. “You’re really good at football you should try out.” Said Allie. “Look Allie you really shouldn’t be here.” Said Zack. The door opened. “ZACK!” hollered Zack’s mother. She stomped over and smacked him. There was a loud pop. Zack dropped to the ground. “WHAT DID I SAY?!” she hollered. “I’M SORRY!” hollered Zack. She kicked him in the side and he rolled over. Then she ran inside. “Zack are you alright?” asked Allie, helping Zack up. “Yeah.” Said Zack. There was a red hand mark on his face. “I’m really sorry. I should go I cost enough trouble.” Said Allie. “That’s not the worst she can do.” Said Zack. “I’m really sorry Zack. She’s abusing you why do you let her-“ “Because my dad’s a drunk!” hollered Zack. “What?” asked Allie. “He was married to my mother and he kissed another girl! Chapter Seven: Charlotte
That weekend Mrs. Brocks gave birth to a baby girl named Charlotte. Allie, Ben, Claire, and Maria all went to Mr. Brock’s house to stay while Mrs. Brock’s was in the hospital. Mr. Brock had bought a nice house. He showed Allie where she, Claire, and Maria would be staying. The room were the girls were staying was amazing. There was light pink walls and two window seats. There were two bookshelves and some books. There were some white chests and a chandelier. There were three dressers and a closet. Their bed was amazing. It was a king sized bed so it fit them all perfectly. The sheets were light pink and the covers were hot pink. The pillows were all the colors; white, light pink, and hot pink. “This is amazing!” said Allie and Claire. Maria just stared sucking on her thumb. “Do you like the room Maria?” asked Allie, picking Maria up. Maria nodded and the girls unpacked. For dinner Mr. Brocks served the girls some steaks. Ben however was silent. “So you taking charge of the house lately?” asked Mr. Brocks. Ben looked at him. “Look I know there has been some changes since your mother and I divorced but everything is going to work out just fine. Ben stood up. “LIKE THE FACT THAT YA’LL ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED TO A DIFFERENT PERSON?!” yelled Ben. “Ben Brocks sit down!” hollered Mr. Brocks. Ben ran upstairs. “BEN COME BACK HERE!” hollered Mr. Brocks. There was the slamming of a door. Mr. Brocks pushed his chair aside and ran up the stairs. “BEN!” he hollered. Maria ran to Allie and Allie picked her up. Claire looked at Allie. “Come on let’s go to bed.” Said Allie. Claire, Allie, and Maria all got ready for bed that night and laid in the bed. Mr. Brocks came in. “How do you like the room girls?” asked Mr. Brocks. “Good.” Said Allie. Maria ran over to Mr. Brocks and hugged him. “Daddy.” Said Maria. Mr. Brocks hugged her. Claire followed and then Allie came and hugged him. “I love you girls so much.” Said Mr. Brocks. “How come you don’t love mommy anymore?” asked Claire. “It’s an adult thing love.” Said Mr. Brocks, kissing her forehead. “Now go on and get in bed.” Said Mr. Brocks. “Tomommrow do we get to see mommy?” asked Claire. “Yes and your sister.” Said Mr. Brocks. When they laid down and Mr. Brocks was walking out Allie said, “Dad, do you know what the baby’s name is?” Mr. Brocks nodded. “Yes, Charlotte. But we can call her Carrie.” Said Mr. Brocks. Allie leaned over and saw Angel all curled up in a ball. Soon Allie fell asleep.

The next afternoon they all went to Greenville Hospital. Mrs. Brocks was on the fifth floor in room 27. Mrs. Brocks was in a little bed holding a little baby wrapped in a pink blanket. “Hey mom.” Said Allie. “Come in.” said Mrs. Brocks. Ben, Allie, Claire, and Maria walked in. “This is Charlotte.” Said Mrs. Brocks. Allie picked up the small baby. The baby was asleep. “Aww, she’s adorable.” Said Allie. “Excuse me do you mind taking a picture?” asked Allie, handing her phone. The doctor took the phone. Allie and her brothers surrounded Mrs. Brocks. “Wow you go a huge family Charlotte.” Said the doctor. She took the picture. “Good luck.” She said, handing the phone back to Allie. Allie saved it and then looked at Charlotte. “Love you Charlotte.” Said Allie, kissing her little sister on the head.

The last day of school came. Stella and Allie went to the last football game. Mr. and Mrs. Brocks sat in the stands. Maria, the team mascot went down with Stella and Allie. “Do the splits,” the girls did the splits. “Scream and yell!” The girls stopped up and yelled. “Here we go for old Rydell! They held Maria up and Maria clapped.

After the game Allie got a drink. Cody came up. “Allie do you want to uh… go out?” asked Cody. Allie shook her head. “Sorry Cody… although you are very hot,” “What?” asked Cody. “Nothing… but no you have to wait till I’m in ninth.” Said Allie. “This is a joke right?” asked Cody. “No.” said Allie. Cody ran off. “You did great Allie.” Said Zack, coming up. “Oh Zack I didn’t know you were here! In the car Ben began a song. “Allie and Zack sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” Allie elbowed him in the chest and Ben squealed. “Mom!!” said Ben. Mrs. Brocks looked in the mirror. “Ben elbowed himself!” hollered Allie. And she laughed.
